check the pressure switch . its circluar in shape with 6/8 wires attached, and a small nipple with a 10mm pipe attached. as the water rises in the drum air is pushed up thru this pipe which when working ok , eventually pushes against a switch .hence its name. so, if there is damage to this pipe( maybe rubbing against the drum) the passage of air escapes before reaching the switch. if the pipe is ok then check the switch by blowing up the pipe (with the power off ) and u should hear a small click inside the switch. if not replace

SOURCE: Kitchenaid Top Loader leaks

It leaksYour washer can develop several types of leaks. You can track down a leak based on when it occurs:

During fill only
During drain and spin only
All the time

During fill only
If the washer leaks only during the fill cycle, check these:

Air-gap device -The air gap is a small device found on most washers that prevents the wash water from being siphoned into the household water supply. It's located either mid-way along or at the end of the black rubber hose that comes from the water-inlet valve. Often it's made of translucent plastic. If one of the air-gap components deforms or cracks, you may need to replace it.

The tube -There's a rubber tube that runs between the water-inlet valve and either the air-gap or the inlet spout. If it cracks or breaks, it can cause a leak.

Inlet spout -Most washers have a plastic spout near the top of the main clothes tub that directs the water into the tub. If the spout cracks or breaks free of its mounting, it can cause a leak.

During drain and spin only
A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find. Alternatively, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. This may be most visible during large loads and high water levels. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

All the time
If the washer leaks all the time, check these:

Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate.

Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it.

Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

SOURCE: Hi my LG 8kg top loader washing mashine says UE

UE code means an imbalance error. Either the load is too small, the appliance is tilted, laundry is gathered to one side or a non distributable things are put into the drum.
Make sure the unit is placed in level location and distribute the load evenly inside the drum. Do not load the unit with on-distributable items.

SOURCE: LG Top Loader Fuzzy Logic 5.5. The water

No you just need to get the drain hose up higher...the water is siphoning out and is either caused by the end of the drain hose still in water and not having an air gap or the hose is not going up higher then the top of your washer...
Lifting the hose up should give you an air gap and get the hose high enough to stop the siphoning...

I would guess that your pump has gone south as the machine needs the full power of the pump to evacuate the water from the tub. It just could be that the pump has gotten stopped up by many strands of lint washed out of the clothes. Most likely your pressure filter that keeps these strands from going into your pump has clogged and no longer lets the water pass. You are going to have to either take the filter apart and clean it or replace it with a new one. Replacing it is probably the cheapest as far as time is concerned. If you turn the machine over on a side, then you can discover the filter is a round plastic container about 6in in dia. and two small hoses connect to it with tensioned ring clips. To take it apart, you have to remove 3 or 4 compression clips around the rim pointed in toward the center. It also could be made of one piece and you really have to replace. Test it to see if you can force water through it.

The pressure chambers and side tanks are prone to clogging up, you can back flush them but with limited success. By the time you have removed and flushed them you are just as well to replace them. Also there is a corrugated pipe about 1 inch in diameter on some models running down to the sump that blocks and water will overflow from the vent on the side tank. The sides will come off, usually 2 screws down the front frame visible with the door open and one at the back. The humming you are hearing with be the drain pump running as it is thinking it is flooded as there is water in the base causing the machine to end its program and drain before its finished and showing 0.01 on the screen.
Hope this helps.

Front loader leaking underneath in the back corner on the left hand side

If its leaking during the fill cycle, its one of the water valves (solenoids) or associated hoses, loose clamps, etc. If its leaking during draining its the drain hoses, pump, clamps etc. Easiest way to tell. Pull it out, if you can remove the back, run it and look for the leak. Just don't touch anything while its running, you don't want to lose a finger or get electrocuted.

Door wont open after cycle has finished, have put on a different cycle didnt work either, pluged out maching for 30 min didnt work either, can you help

The door does not open because there is water detected inside the machine. Water must be removed through the drain filter connected to drain pump.

Disconnect power.
If front loader remove the trim panel at the base of the machine. Top loader have access at the bottom or at the back.
Locate the drain filter access at one side.
Remove drain filter cap.
Collect water using containers (have them ready, a lot of water will flow out).
Put back cap and trim and reapply power.

Emptying water from drain lines is usually enough to unlock the door. If that does not work, then the door is opened reaching back side of the door latch (from inside the washer's cabinet). Access is from top, after removing panel, or from bottom. Some front loader has an emergency unlock cord inside that can be reached undoing completely the drain filter. The procedure requires disassembling and should be done by a technician.

Nearly new front load Maytag Neptune doesn't seem to pump out completely i.e. spinning the drum produces sloshing sound. Clothes are clean, there is no odor and no water is visible in machine but this...

Did this always seem to happen since you got it, or is it something that just started recently?

If it has always been present, this may be normal for that particular machine. Although there is a water pump in the machine, it will not be able to pump out all the water since it would start sucking air and there would still be water in the hose.

If the machine is not level side to side, and esp. front to back, all the water would not find its way to the pump. Front loaders have the drain fitting at the rear, so a bit of forward tilt would leave water in t tub.

If it has just started, look at an obstruction in the drain hose / pipe. The water pump has to pump the water up, but if it encounters an obstruction, it may not be able to get all the water out before the cycle timer moves on.

Are you able to attach a garden hose (ran outside) to the drain hose (duct tape work well), and lay it down on the floor? How much water drains out then? Do you still have the sloshing sound afterwards? If you do, then this is likely normal for your washer. If not, then water pump may not be doing its job like it should.

Washer seems to be leaking during spin cycle.

If the water is gushing from the washer, check the small plastic air dome hose on the lower right hand side of the wash tub. Sometimes the hose can come loose and come off. This will cause the water to begin pouring out of the bottom of the the washer when it begins to fill. The following link has some other things you may consider as well:

The link explains how to remove the exterior washer case in order to accurately inspect the washer interior components for the source of your leak.
Another common source of leaks with Whirlpool manufactured top loaders is a leaking drain pump. These pumps are not serviceable and if damged, must be replaced. The following link explains how:

Don't forget to check all drain hose connections under the washer and the center tub seal.

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. the first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

You may find the fluff filter is just blocked which protects the drain pump or something is jamming the drain pump from turning. On front loader machines the fluff filter service panel is found on the front panel at the bottom on the left or right hand side.Hope this helps.

Washer will not drain GE washer

If you have a top loader, try this.
If it agitates but doesn't spin or pump, it could be that your pump is seized or something is stuck in it. The agitator is operated by a different motor. Turn OFF the power. and remove the front vertical panel by inserting a drywall knife in a the top right about 4" in from edge at the joint 1" down from the top, push the clip back to release that corner, get another knife and do the same to the left top corner, the pull the top of the front panel and swing towards you, then lift off and remove. Discount the two hoses to the pump, one from the drum the other that goes to the back. Be ready for a considerable amount of water to come gushing out, use a hose to direct to a floor drain. Check to see if something is stuck in the pump or the hoses, remove it. Check to be sure the impeller spins. If you found something restricting the flow or pump, remove it and re assemble. If the impeller won't spin easily, then you need a new pump.

Remove blockage in the pump. Re-assemble and test.

My Kenmore Series 80 top loader will not drain and begins the spin cycle then shuts down after a few spins depending on the water level. The machine can only be drained manually. There is no blockage of...

There are many issues that can lead to a no drain situation. check the following areas for faults.

Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

Wont drain

you will have to take the front cover off. you will see a clip on the top right and left side at the seam at the top of the front cover. you can tale a screw driver or putty knive and push down on the clips and the front will pull off toward you. unplug the machine. you will see the drain pump at the front bottom right, the pump may be hung up. try turning the fan on the pump to free it up. if this does not work change pump. if water is in machine you will need to pinch off hose comming from tub if you change the pump
