Changing the thermostats on a TDC 32 P

Hi, I have read all of the suggestions as to the fault on my Aquarius TDC32P Condenser Dryer. Ii has not heat at all and I suspect from what I have read that this is the stats. Can anyone please advise me as to 'where' the stats are located in order to get them off, ordered and replaced. Regards..

Re: Changing the thermostats on a TDC 32 P

Your stats are at the back of the dryer take the metal cover off at the back u should see your stats straight away the cover should be the one that sticks out more than your back casing m8

Tdc32p condenser dryer has low heat only

It could be, also is the condenser taking the water out ok into the drawer, if not they could be a blockage in the pipes and a pump underneath the dryer may be blocked or faulty.
this could be the cause also.

Hotpoint aquarius tdc32s not heating up

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

Hotpoint aquarius condenser dryer TDC30

I would dry it just to be on the safe side, even though it doesn't say so. It can't hurt. The front t'stat should be under the top at or near the drum.

Condenser on Hotpoint Aquarius dryer not collecting water

I think that I have already suggested some possible reasons for the prob you are experiencing with your dryer, but I don't think I have mentioned the fact that the pump could be fauty, you should be able to hear it running, just a thought , you never know.

Hotpoint aquarius tdc32p not heating up replaced old heating element but still not heating

I had the same problem which turned out to be the thermostat.
You can fix it at home easily with only a screwdriver.

  1. Remove the strengthening bar on the back
  2. Remove the small cover in the centre of the rear
  3. Remove the funny shaped cover from the rear (NOT THE WHOLE BACK PLATE) This will give access to the heating element and the 2 thermostats above it.
  4. Take off the thermostat with a green dot on and look at the bottom metal plate. If it's concave, bang it on the floor until it pops back out. (Seriously)
  5. Re-fit the parts in reverse order and you done!

sounds like a thermostat fault, there is two on these machines and although only one will be at fault both should be replaced
