How do repair my front loader that is not draining
Mine had the same problem. I first checked the hose where the water drains out of the machine for clogs, lint. Then I checked the owners manual to find the lint trap. The lint trap was so clogged it burnt out the motor to drain the water. My Dad looked online and found the part number from the manual online then ordered it on the internet. The replacement only cost $113. Then a few months later water leaked about an inch all over my floor. I knew how to pop off the bottom panel. It turned out one of the hoses from the pump was disconnected. The clamp was loosened. I tightened the gasket around the hose with a screwdriver, then did a cycle, no leak. I also checked for any blockages in the hoses. The model I have is a little older, the newer models have lint traps that are easily accessible. I have a Frigidaire Gallery Series, model GLT----ending in 40FEI, sorry the rest is worn out. The trap is in the front on the right side, it is a black rubber container, attached with hoses and clamps. That is where I found the blockages due to cat hair, etc. Hope this helps. Taking off the bottom of the washer, it is a front panel, was a pain, 2 screws. I keep wood shims under the panel now so I can access it easier. I'm a petite woman, so it was quite a Job! Good luck. Hope this helps,a and made sense. Btw, they have manuals on the company website, PDF file.
