SOURCE: Do I need more than one Wii remote for Band hero Wii????

you need a wii remote for each instrument and the microphone. you need one remote for the drums, one for the bass guitar player, one for the guitar, and one in close proximity to the microphone user. you have to set a wii remote near the microphone once the microphone is plugged into the USB port in the back of the wii console. i think there is something like a 10 foot radius meaning if the wii remote is too far from the microphone it will disconnect. so you can do only one instrument per wii remote you are using.

On the Wii game, Band Hero, I am trying to play in the career mode. It is recognizing the microphone and is ready to go. But, I can't find out how to "add" the guitar?? Does it need to be plugged...

I'll provide you with the instruction on how to connect the guitar on your Wii

1. Turn on the Wii. Open the side panel and press the "Sync" button.
2. Remove the cover off the back of your Wii remote. Press the "Sync" button.
3. Insert the neck of the guitar onto the guitar.
4. Open the back panel on the guitar.
5. Attach the connector from the guitar to the Wii remote. Place the Wii remote into the guitar as described on the illustration on the guitar.
6. Re-attach the cover to the Wii remote. Close the back panel on the guitar.

The guitar is also wireless.

Thanks for using Fixya.

My son had his wii turned on and was getting another remote out of his guitar which was by the power cable after he got it the console quit working and we can't get it to turn on

Power off your Wii and unplug everything connected to it including SD cards in the front door, or USB devices. Plug in the power and video cables only and see it your Wii powers on (make sure you unplug these first). If it turns on then plug in the necessary devices such as the sensor bar and Game Cube and try again, and then try with any other items that you have like a usb drive or memory cards. I had this problem when I had a USB camera plugged in.

Guitar does not work with guitar hero and everything freezes

you have to open the thing on the wii where you put the SD card, and there will be a red button. Press it. Then, plug in the remote to to controller, open the battery compartment and press the red button. This should sync the remote to the wii. In the future you have to plug in the remote to the controller BEFORE the wii is turned on. As for your second problem i dont know.

Hooking up the rock band to a wii console

You plug the hub into the back of the wii, and then plug the guitar (and mic) into the hub. If you just want to use the guitar, it doesn't matter if you use the hub or not. The hub is pretty much just to make life easier because there are only two ports and rock band requires at least those 2.

Can't get the guitar to play

If the blue light does not come. or if the light comes on intermittently, then on then the power wired inside the guitar are not firmly connected to the circuit board. Lay guitar on table, remove back screws. Lift back and follow wired from power switch next to batteries down to where wires connect to circuit board. If plug pulls out easily, it is not connecting. Use two hands to push connector into place, use one had on circuit board to keep connector from breaking off while pushing. Connector should not come loose when gently pulling on wires.
