Kenwood KDC -MP238 I bought a used vehicle with this stereo installed in it but, am locked out with no code. What is the most likely code for this model?

The codes are random. You'll have to contact the manufacturer with the unit's serial number to get the code. Be prepared to provide proof of purchase (they may accept a copy of the vehicle bill of sale).

I have a kenwood kdc-mp238 and when i turn it on it says enter code. Well i have no idea what the code is. The other numbers on the head unit were m4x8mmmax

Kenwood I am afraid ask you to activate a code of your choice after purchase. The code you or the original keeper entered is NOT retrievable unless noted somewhere in your manual. This means the unit has to be taken/sent to a dealer for a "bench" re-coding.

Need master unlock code

As far as I nkow, you need to contact Kenwood with the radio serial number to get the unlock code. In the past, they would not give it to you without giving them a special code from a card that came inside the package. You can always try though, give them a call, the number is on their website.

Just bought vehicle, kenwood KDC 722 stereo wont work till enter 4 digit security code.... ANY suggestions??

You have to go to a Kenwood car audio dealer in your area. They will pull the unit and get the serial # off the deck, call Kenwood and get you the code. If you pull it yourself you can save a little $... If you don't have the manual, go to www.kenwoodusa.com type in your model # under support and you can download install manual as well as user manual for free. Depending on the vehicle, it could be very quick or take an hour or so to pull the unit, it all depends on the mount. Hope this helps
