It's sound like something has happened to the feeddogs and it would be a good idea to have the checked at a sewing machine shop..

SOURCE: stitches don't feed properly

Remove the foot and the needle plate. Check the area where the stitches are formed to see if there are any rough edges on the plate or stitch finger. Sometimes you will find a crack in the plate that is hidden under the foot. While the foot is up, the gap closes but when it is lowered and fabric is trying to feed the crack opens and the rough edge won't allow it to advance.

The internal cams need lithium grease. You might want to take it to an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.

SOURCE: I need information on how to oil my huskylock 905

Oil any and all moving parts with sewing machine oil. If you turn the handwheel, look to see which parts are moving and oil them.

Huskylock 905, bought new, just love it. Changed thread, first time ever the blue looper keeps breaking. Rethreaded x 20. Still breaking. Sounds good, cleaned regularly with canned air, etc. Help!

Hello Christine,
Since I can not be there with you to guide you, here is video showing the threading Detailed How to Thread Viking Huskylock 905 Serger
However a few additional tips:
1. Make sure to use good quality thread.
2. Make sure to use fresh thread. Thread does have a shelf life.
3. Make sure that the tension, stitch length, and blade position are at the correctly set for the type of stitch required.
4. Make sure that the 'lower looper' thread is sitting "over" the 'upper looper' and "over" the 'upper looper thread'. This is VERY important.
5. Make sure that the threads are not caught-up/wound-up/stuck around anything.
This should solve that phantom challenge. Please let me know how the stitching works out, or come back with more information/questions
Please give me a thumbs up if this was helpful.
Happy serging

I have the huskylock 905 and it is running great--but-- the seam easily spreads apart after sewing. I have adjusted all of the tensions in different areas and it looks great until you hold the fabric and...

The left needle thread tension is the problem if the seam can be pulled open. Check the threading and tension on this needle, you may find that the stitch looks okay on the top but on the underside the left needle thread is actually lying against the right needle stitching.

Check the left needle tension device is working, clean it according to the manual instructions, rethread and ensure it is set to the normal number (probably 5), then test again and see if its still happening. If so the tension device is probably faulting and will need a service.

Reading your description again, if the whole seam is pulling apart fully, then all the tensions are too loose. Either way, I'd take it to the Husqvarna dealer for a service, all machines benefit from one at least every 2 years.

I really need to know what kind of serger you have , if it is the 905 910 or the 936 series take a look at the large headed screw that holds the knife in place. if you are doing fleece it will cause a lot of build up of lint behind this screw and not allow the knife to go all the way up and down causing it not to cut multi layers of fabric, and if this is the case it probably needs to go the an authorized tech for a thorough cleaning

How do i adjust the upper cutter on a huskylock 905 serger

There are no specific specs other than "eyeballing" it. Make sure the bottom blad is level with the plate of the machine. The upper cutter should meet and overlap slightly. It is usually a trial and error thing to get it aligned. Good luck.
