SOURCE: I have an old Kenmore sewing machine and after

The motor is probably a YDK, what you need to do is take a drawing of the plug on the machine and go to your sewing machine shop and you will probably get one.

SOURCE: I need a new foot pedal for my kenmore sewing

If you just need the pedal without the harness, any good foot control will fit, usually YDK, very easy to rewire.

SOURCE: I checked out my machine

Hi,
If foot pedal alows you to control the speed of the machine. They do go bad occasionally. If your machine motor plugs into the foot pedal unplug it and try it in a wall outlet if able. This will tel you if the machine motor is good or bad. Plug a lamp with a regular bulb(incandesent not flourescent) into the foot pedal. As you press the pedal the bulb should get brighter. This will tell you if the pedal control is good. Be sure the lamp is in the on position

How can I unplug the cord of the foot pedal without breaking it?

In my experience they all come with the cord attached to the foot pedal and you plug one wire into the mains outlet and the other lead into the sewing machine. You should be swapping like for like, so if your has a hard wired lead, then the replacement should too.

If you unscrew the screws on the foot pedal, you should be able to see if it is hard wired or the wire is in a socket. If it won't come out, it is possible it has got hot and melted the plastic to lock it in place.

What does error code F04 mean something with foot pedal? It is really hard to plug in. Could I put WD40?

the receiving plug would have something wrong with the pins in it or the foot pedal plug could have something wrong with the pins in it,, it would be better to have a sewing technican look at the machine.. don't use wd 40 on the plug

change the power chord of your pedal, if not, open the pedal and look for the connection if that is cut or loose try to tight or connect it.

There is two seperate cords on this machine. A power cord and a pedal cord. If you put the power cord in and switch the machine on, and then remove the pedal cord it should give you a beeping sound, which shows you the connection does work.

Please give me feedback in order to help you
