Looks like connection problem so check cables connecting the printer, computer and that main outlet is live.

My Canon Printer MG 6250 wont turn on can you please help.

Disconnect the printer from your power source. Open the lid as if to change an ink cartridge. See if the print head cartridge moves freely. If it does not move, you will need to partially disassemble the printer to remove the print head. If the print head moves, remove the cartridges. Lift the locking lever and remove the print head. Then lower the locking lever again. close the printer. Connect it to the power source and see if it will now turns on. If it does,it will give an error message (as there is no print head installed). If it does not power up up without the print head, it is not worth repairing. If it powers up, there is a possibility that a new print head will fix things. But that is just a chance as what damaged the print head may have damaged the logic board. It is simply a gamble. These failures can occur without warning and without apparent reason. Sometimes, it is not a bad idea to just buy another printer. It is up to you whether to gamble or not.

I am getting a "wrong print head" error message.

Turn the printer off.
Disconnect the power-cord from the wall-outlet.
Reconnect the power.
Turn the printer on.
If you still get the same message, it's time to responsibly recycle the printer,
and buy a replacement -- maybe you can buy a new PIXMA that takes the same ink-cartridges???

How do I change the ink waste absorber on a canon i9900

Turn the printer off.
Disconnect the AC power cord.
Lift the lid to expose the print-head mechanism.
Look where the ink-cartridges are "parked".
The ink-absorber is below those ink-cartridges.
Close the lid.
Reconnect the AC power cord.
Turn the printer on.
Lift the lid, and wait until the print-head slides away from that "park" position.
Without turning the printer off, disconnect the AC power-cord.
Now, you have access to the absorber.
Change the absorber.

Can't change color cartridge

Unplug the printer from power and manually move the head to position. Remove the tape and plug the power in again. With the access door closed, the head/cartridge assembly should return to 'park'.

Change printhead in 5500

To change the printer head on the Kodak 5500 AIO printer, you will need to do the following:

To remove the old printer head,
  1. Power on the printer.
  2. Lift up the lid to expose the printer head.
  3. Once the printer head moves to the middle, where you can get at it, then unplug the power cord to the printer.
  4. Remove the ink cartridges.
  5. With the printer head now empty, run your finder along the underside of the top of the printer head, all the way to the left side of the printer head.
  6. Push up with your finger where there is some give, and the shroud that holds the printer head will release the head.

To install the new head,

  1. Simply put it in place, and push forward with your finger on the sticker that shows a finger pushing on a sticker, and you will hear and feel it click into place.
  2. Reload your ink cartridges, close the lid, plug the printer back in and you're done.
