There are a few different things it could be though most likely the lens itself is out of alignment. There are methods you can try to "click" it back into place. First off how long have you owned the camera?

i had a similar problem, in that the green light would flash but nothing would happen,
best to try a brand new set of batteries, and if that doesn't work, the ribbon which brings power from the batteries to everythin else may not be connected fully. if you have the skill, or know some one with the skill, just open the camera up, and check all the ribbons (the power ribbon is identified generally as a green ribbon).
hope this helps :)

The low-battery indicator only shows up when the battery level drops below a certain threshhold. Normally there is no indication on the screen of the battery status.

SOURCE: How can i find the
Greetings - The indicator that is displayed on page 22 of the manual is the only battery indicator in the camera. There is no real time "gauge" of battery status.
As indicated, there is only battery charged (no display), battery low indicator and battery exhausted indicator. You'll find very few (if any) consumer grade point and shoot cameras with that level of monitoring.
Regards and thanks for using Fix Ya.

SOURCE: Camera will not charge, shows
It could possibly be the battery or the charger itself.Try purchasing the charger it self.Use the old battery to see if it will charge it. If it does not charge you may have to purchase a new battery.as well.
