I bought a used Acme Juicer 6001 and when it starts working it's ok, but after 1 or 2 minutes, it starts vibrating and goes like crazy. I only put shopped vegetables, like cucumbers, apples, celery, and...

Just the opposite. The only way I get by the vibration is with an old worn blade which
I sharpen with a drill using a small bit. Installed a new blade, once, and the juicer took
off on me. Even the pro's have trouble with the vibration issue. If trouble persists, try
a pulp ejecting type.

My #6001 juicer ( old!!) will make a very loud sound even after only 3 carrots.. causing me to stop and clean out pulp.. even may shake more than usual... so am thinking it should need an overhaul??? I...

No overhaul. These juicers do not eject the pulp and are subject to vibration especially if you
install a new blade. I've had one for 21 years and get by using a worn blade which I sharpen
with an electric drill using a small bit.

I need a cutter blade parts no 015180. Can I pay for it on the net?

You can buy it from Waring or Omega, same blade.
Or, just google Acme juicer parts. $20 to $30. Look
out though, found new blade increases vibration. You
can also sharpen old blade by slightly drilling into
each burr on the blade with a small drill bit. Been
using the same blade for several years.

When we juice, it turns and moves across the counter

Both the Omega and Acme juicers vibrate no matter what you do. I found a worn shredder
blade actually produces less vibration. However this involves filing the cutting burrs down
and resetting the blade to chute gap. If you're up to it, take the blade out and file each row
of burrs about halfway down. Then with the juicer fully assembled, unlock the set screw on
the center of the bottom, turn it clockwise until the chute contacts the blade, and back it off
a half turn. The set screw actually raises and lowers the motor spindle. Both companies
would not agree with this, but this solution comes from operating my 21 year old Acme.
I recently replaced the blade and the juicer immediately began tap dancing. Went back to
the old blade.

Excessive vibration and rattling when I have less than a cup of juice extracted.

I've had an Acme for 21 years and I don't care
what anyone tells you-they vibrate. After years
of trial and error I found mine vibrates less with
a worn blade that I sharpen with a drill. With
a new shredder blade you actually have to file
down the cutting burrs about one third and
adjust the blade to chute gap by unlocking
the adjusting screw on the center of the bottom,
turn it clockwise until blade contacts chute, and
back it off a half turn. Apparently with a slightly
duller blade, smaller gap, the produce goes through
more slowly and evenly. Also severe vibration will
cause the blade to jump up and chip the chute.

Who might sharpen the shredder blade???

This is a good one because a worn blade
actually causes less vibration. You can
sharpen the blade using a drill. Use a drill
bit about the same width as the cutting burrs
and drill into the face of each one ever so
slightly, almost perpendicularly. Assemble
the juicer and unlock the adjust screw on
the center of the bottom. Turn it clockwise
until the blade contacts the chute, then back
it off a half turn. Don't forget to tighten the
lock nut. I've been using the same blade
for years.

SHREDDER BLADE, where can I find it for the ACME Juicerator model 6001?My email address is: peguero59@gmail.com

Contact waring directly or just google juicer parts. Believe Omega
juicers share same blade and it's cheaper. If your handy you can
sharpen you old blade by drilling, at an angle, into the face of each
burr on the blade. Use a 1/16 or 5/64 bit and do it ever so slightly.

Acme juicer vibrating so much.

I've had one for 21 years and when I replaced the blade the same thing happened.
The blade is not supposed to be held firmly in place so it can slip intentionally to
minimize vibration. If you bought the juicer new, think back, and I believe you will
remember the vibration problem. I seems with a worn blade they vibrate less. The
motor is very durable and uses roller bearings like on a skate board. I went back
to the old blade, which I sharpen with a drill using a small bit.

I need to know how to take this puppy apart for cleaning...

If you don't have the orange blade tool, just find a big wire around 1/8 diameter. Bend it and insert both ends on the blade holes. Cover the sharp blade with cloth or use leather gloves.Turn the blade.
