Question about Update International Psvl30bksf 3. Liter Airpot Brushed Stainless

1 Answer

Airpot problems This airpot used to deliver a good stream of liquid with every push on the lever, but not it is just a trickle. I have washed all parts, but still a trickle. What might be wrong?

Lube the moving parts with crisco shortning. See if it is leaking air. The crisco should seal and lube it. Also using crisco wont cause any issues with a lubricant that is toxic.

Hoover steam vac model 5853-900 has 5 brushes/cleaning dispensers, am only getting 2 small trickles of fluid when I dispense fluid onto carpet

The brushes come off, they are clipped on as an assembly if you look at the bottom of the machine you can see where the cover for the vacuum slot that brings up the water clips on too. If you remove that you can see the clips that hold the brush unit better

How do you change the filter on the sebo X1.1 mine seems to be stuck

Assuming you mean the long cylindrical filter that's in the bag compartment, you just pull it out using the little handle at the bottom. They are sometimes very tight, and you can use something like a screwdriver to lever it out (care not to damage the main casing). When inserting the new filter, lift the little metal lever so it's pushed up behind it (that's just a device that stops you closing the door with no filter in place.
I hope this is helpful. If so, please remember to rate my response. Good luck!

My Kenmore Progressive keeps burning up belts even after I have changed the bag, cleaned the filters and checked to make sure the agitator was clean and free turning

The solution is to change the agitator. They wobble and displace the belt. Change it and you will have a new agitator with new bearings. It will keep it in line. It has to be in line with the system. Any shaking of the belt & lets go to the Kenmore store. I had the same problem.

HI ,
I AM BILL AND I HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM. I HAVE FOUND THAT THERE IS A SHIFTER VALVE NEAR THE REAR OF THE MOTOR AREA.
IF YOU LAY THE HANDLE DOWN FLAT YOU CAN SEE WHERE THE VACUUM HOSE ATTACHES TO THE SUCTION MOTOR. CHECK THERE TO SEE IF IT HAS COME APART.

NEXT CHECK THE SHIFTER VALVE AND SPRING MOVE ROTATE 1/3 OF A TURN . WHEN YOU LOWER THE HANDLE THE SHIFTER HAS TO BE IN THE FLOOR MODE FOR THE SUCTION TO THE MAIN FLOOR SCRUBBER AND SPIN THE BRUSHES.
TO USE HAND TOOLS THE HANDLE HAS TO RAISE UP AND LOCK TO OPERATE ANY HAND TOOLS.
A PLASTIC LEVER BREAKS BY A SPRING CALLED THE SHIFTING LEVER. A SHIFTER VALVE LEVER IS THE RIGHT REAR, THE HANDLE DOWN. GOOD LUCK

MY PROBLEM ACTUALLY THE SHIFTER DOOR AND I HAVE A LOT OF SEARCHING TO DO TO FIND THAT.
OH! BY THE WAY THE LEVER PART # IS 90001320 $2.16 + SHIPPING AT SEARS PARTS DIRECT

It is not sending liquid from upper tank to floor, but it does **** up liquid off the floor if I pour it there?

I tested the flow of liquid through the tubing and distributor by placing a small amount of liquid in the opening under the solution tank and making sure it drained when the solution trigger was pulled. Since the liquid did drain all the way to the brushes, it was apparent that the solution was not leaving the tank. In the center of the opening that receives the solution under the tank (round opening with rubber seal) there is a plastic pin that is supposed to push into the valve on the solution tank and open it sufficiently for liquid to pass through the valve. Since the plastic pin has not changed in length, I assumed that the rubber plunger in the bottom of the solution tank may be the problem. This rubber piece does not seem to be replaceable. Since I am very cheap, I am unwilling to buy a $30.00 solution tank to get a $.25 rubber plunger for this valve. My solution was to make the plastic pin a little bit longer. I did this by drilling a very tiny hole in the top of the pin and installing a very small screw which allows me to adjust the distance that the pin pushes up into the valve on the tank. I adjusted the screw almost all the way down and turned it up a little at a time until liquid once again flowed to the brushes. I have only used the machine once since this modification but it seems to dispense liquid very well now.

A word of warning, if you break or damage the pin in the process of this modification, the control valve assembly will not work and it does not appear to be available as a replacement part. If you are not confident in your ability to make the modification, then a $30.00 solution tank is cheaper than a new machine.
