Why should I have to pay again for Fix-It Untilities Professonal because it is suppose to be taken care of for One Year Bought this product at Walmart for $27.00 I am not going to pay for something that is still in use

It's the #1 plaguing issue with flat panel TV in all brands. So, don't believe that ILO is the only brand with the problem. 90% of all TVs only have a 1 year warranty. It's always best to get the extended warranty if possible on flat panel TVs now.
Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board. Or, it maybe something simple like a blown fuse inside the TV. The most common thing to go out on flat panel TVs is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board. But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptom.

You have a few choices:

1. You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself.

2. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.

3. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

You have a defective bulb. Unfortunately it does happen. If you bought just the bulb, then don,t do that again. Always buy a new bulb with the housing and don\'t touch the bulb eith your hands. Most bulb sellers warrant their bulbs for at least 3 months. Some warrant for up to one year but you pay a little more, about $80-100. If you bought the $35-45 bulb (made in china) then you get what ya get. Nothing against the chinese, just the people who pay them 30 cents an hour to make a product extremely fast with no care for quality control. The chinese are hard working people. Chinese products are made to be disposable on purpose so you can buy a new something more often.

Walmart has an over the counter replacement policy for up to one year. I would demand to see the manager because they are responsible for making things right, the last thing they want is a customer openly complaining about their products and exposing the general public to the bad service they have provided you, where this could have been taken of with an exchange.

you probably wont have to register but i dont know. but the protection works so that if your Ipod fails (either software or screen stops working) you can send it in for a new one or just get it fixed. i dont know about walmart but the applestore wont fix it if you broke it (cracked screen or dropped in water) unless you pay a little extra $$$

In your manual you will find a number to call for questions. They will replace you cant fix. You just pay a low shipping charge. You could also return it where you bought it. It is still under warranty.

Wal-mart's computer care is a scam.


I work for the Wal-Mart PC Care program. The PC Care program is free, it provides assistance in installing a year worth of virus protection. Anything beyond that is on a pay for fee service. It does not replace the original Dell warranty (which as pointed out) you were under. The little card board disk hold clearly states that you should save your receipt here. The receipt can be generated again at the local store. A customer can also purchase an extended service that comes info effect after the original warranty expires. It is not a bad plan, but it does pay to read and know what the plan covers. You still need to contact Dell as you are under their warranty. Pre-existing conditions are not covered by any extended service plan.
