Take off the screen, clean it with a NON ammonia window cleaner. While it's open look down at the tube faces. Gently clean off the dust accumulation. NEVER try to clean the mirror or touch it either. Cleaning it will ruin the surface of it and you'll always see it in the picture.

If the set is 4-5 years old, it probably has dust on the lenses and mirror.
This can cause a murky picture.
If you can remove the front screen assembly, you can gain access to the lenses and mirror. Clean with a dry micro-fiber cloth very gently.
Hope this helps,
Dan
has it been inspected for proper lens and mirror cleaning? or by cloudy you are referring to some kind of weak signal. when the cleaning is needed the picture comes in dim but with definition and the correct color, tint though gives the impression is to bright or very low in contrast.
To get a new remote call a local TV service company or you can order directly from the manufacture. The cloudiness of your colors are caused by possibility of two things or both: 1) The mirror and lenses inside your TV need cleaning (use window cleaner & soft cloth) spray liquid onto cloth, 2) The fluid in picture tubes need to replaced. To replace fluid (ethylene glycol) take tubes out of unit, drain fluid, clean fluid chamber, add new fluid. How you can tell if fluid is cloudy? Take off screen assembly look into each light (red, green, blue) the picture should be clear. The red tube, light, is normally okay, so use as referance.
