OK, so here there is a good free program to update your drivers:http://www.drivermax.com/
There is also a better one, but you have to pay for it: http://www.uniblue.com/software/driverscanner/. If this helped you please mark it!

What system do you have the bluray installed in? Model number?

  • Steve Sylver Jul 13, 2013

Sorry ... new at this. It's an HP Media Center m390n

  • Nika Karr Jul 13, 2013

    Hi Steve, go to:http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Tec...

  • Nika Karr Jul 13, 2013

Then look under firmware and once you identify your Blu Ray player, the driver is listed in that section. You may also chat with HP for further support at:https://h50203.www5.hp.com/wclweb/wclent...

I've got aspire z5801 .looking for a manual and softwhere to work the bluray.it works on normal DVDs but not bluray do I need software

Did the Blu-Ray drive come with a manual or drivers?
Normally, you need software (Nero, etc.) to burn DVDs. What are you using to access DVD drive successfully? What error message(s) are you getting?
Thanks,
Make a great day!

Blu ray player not working

Hello,

When did it start? You can do a system restore to restore it back to a known good date.

Search System Restore in the search box.

Once it's up, select a date when it was still working fine. Launch it.

Try using the blu ray.If no go, try different bluray disc to make sure it's not the disc that's causing the problem. If all don't work, then you can update the driver of the bluray.

You can use RadarSync to scan your computer for outdated drivers. It will cover all drivers including your bluray. Once you get the result, you can either Google them and install or buy the license of the software so that you can let the software do its thing.

I hope this helps!

If you have any questions, please drop me a line.

Vgn-cs260j bd drive not playing bluray and recently stopped ejecting, will appreciate any feedback!

Try reseating the Bluray player.
Try reinstalling the Bluray driver.
If this still does not fix the problem, it then most likely it is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Hello there,

you are right, Win Xp is not Blu-Ray compatible unless you installed UDF reader. UDF reader is a driver which lets you explore Blu-ray and HD-DVD UDF v2.5 disc in Win XP's file explorer.

Click the Link to download UDF v2.5 driver

1. After downloading extract the file to any folder.

2. Right click on thdudf.inf and choose Install.

3. Once this is done, reboot your machine.

4. After reboot your system will be able to read the new UDF 2.5 file system recognition.

5. If you want your system to read video files, you have to download codecs.

Codec Link download.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Hopefully this information helps.

Hi,
Just try this;
- Unplug the computer (power Off) - Take a pin or any thing sharp enough like a pin (should be dry) - There is a hole down the disk tray in the cd drive to just insert a pin (see the image below)robertaji_5.jpg
MUST BE VERY CARFULL WITH NEXT STEP.
- now carefully insert the pin into the hole until it stuck in something (it the manual lock) - Now press down the pin to release the disc tray from the drive. DONE : )
Hope this helps. please don't forget to leave a comment and rate if you see this solution was helpful, Thanks!

This all sounds like software/hardware drivers are missing. If your MB came with on board sound the install files and drivers should be on a CD that came with your MB. The Drivers for your BulRay will have to be down loaded from the Manf. site.

Bluray disc doesn't work in my computer vaiovgc-lt25e

Hi carlos,
The reason for this is that Bluray is a different file type than DVD.  That means that a DVD player can only handle certain file types of which Bluray is not one of them.  The drive you are using is a DVD drive.
Unfortunately the only way to play a Bluray disc is with a Bluray drive.  These can be purchased at any computer or electronics store and are becoming quite competitive in price.  That or you can return the movie and buy a DVD or CD version of the disk.
Hope that helps, and please don't forget to vote/rate!
