SOURCE: power supply board led green light blinks 3 times.

vscan is a voltage used to setup the picture for the panal. It goes to the y sus board. The problem is at the power supply or the y sus board. You can check these with a meter.

SOURCE: Philips 42PF5321D/37 Error Codes

replacing ssb for 4 blink error was correct as error is communication failure specific to micro processor on ssb. getting an alternate error after replacing ssb would suggest either wrong ssb or defective ssb. verify vendor number on ssb tuner on original and new ssb and if same reorder that board and if not order per original board

SOURCE: circuit board blinks four times

check your filter if thats clogged that will send a four flash limit open or your blower motor might be bad these units are known to have popped rings and cracks on thier heat exchangers if there isnt enough airflow if your filter is clogged or motor is shot i would call someone monday and get your heat exchanger inspected

SOURCE: circuit board light blinks 3 times heater will not turn on

The error code refers to a defective combustion air switch. Coleman Evcons made around 2007 had defective pressure switches or as they call them "combustion air switch". Replace it and the problem is gone.

Klv32s310A sony bravia gets start on with green light and after a second turns to stand by mode blinking the red light 6 times after each 2 second interval

Hello Sagar,
green led means tv powered on and status ok.
Red blinking light almost always means defect, overcurrent or overload.
6 blinks for Sony lcd flat tv means trouble in backlight circuit, or backlight inverter (backlight illumination or lighting makes your tv screen visible).
common problems in the inverter circuit, which drives the backlight, or shorted drivers, or short-circuit transformers or open circuits.
You should find the problem in the inverter circuit, or in the power supply board or in the main board.
Also look for bad capacitors (electrolytic caps) which are bulged and swollen on top.
Decoupling plugs from printed circuit boards can help you in finding the problem board by elimination method.
If you power up the set after unplugging certain plugs on f.e. the inverter board , this could result in getting a green power led and concluding that this board is faulty.

succes,
Walter from Antwerp, Belgium.

When i switc on my hitachi 42pd5200 tv the standby light turns green but the tv does not start up, any ideas of how to resolve the problem?

if the LED turns green and remains green that means the TV is likely starting up just fine.

if you can shut it off (i.e. turn it back red) and then back green, i.e. if you get it to respond to your command that means the TV is actually operational.

What is NOT operational is part of it , that is not central to the main board's functionality, e.g. the circuits that have to do with the display itself.

In your hitachi that is most commonly the buffer boards and the Y-Sustain board, which sometimes fails and sometimes does not when the buffers fail.

I have a 42PFP5332 which doesn't turn on. When plugging in the power the green led on the power circuit board turn for a few seconds and then blinks for 9 times. After that it blinks for 10 times

Good day!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

I had a vulcan central heating unit that was made in 1990. Could you please tell me what the model number is on a 1990 vulcan central heating unit. Thanks, Rob

Hi Rob, The number you have listed AUW230A may be the model number. You say its a central heat so, If it is a package unit, the model, serial, and all of the ratings would be on the unit near the elect box on a package unit.I do know by the # you gave me it is a Vulcan 3000 watt thermostatically controlled Immersion heater. Here is a link I can give you, they deal with this heater for parts Ect. that maybe of help to you, it is www.grainger.com. There are many model # and I believe this is it, AUW230A. I hope this helps Rob, Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

On my kenmore central vac no power unplug unit plug it back green light comes on but try turning vac on green light goes off again .

Please clarify that we are talking about the central vac LED/switch panel panel and plugging it into a 110 V wall receptacle.
If I understand when you unplug from the power source ,then plug back in the green LED comes on, looking normal ? But when you manually activate the switch on the motor housing of the vac itself the vac does not start and the LED goes out, so no green or red LED at that point?
If this is the case , Kenmore CV's built approx 5 years ago (MADE by EUREKA) and prior had a circuit board with attached cord (as opposed to detachable) which was prone to relay failure. There were several symptoms, most common was that the relay on that switch panel /circuit board would fuse on and the vac would continue to run when the hose was detached from the wall. However some I worked on from that era had exactly the same symptom you describe. If your unit is between 5 and 10 years old and this sounds accurate, you can unscrew this curved side panel relay with one philips screw. Inside on the PCB will be an L shaped black or white 24volt relay, generally rated at 10 amps. The replacement board or relay will be rated at least 24V/ 15 amps or more. If you can isolate your motor and test it separtely with a power cord or meter , the realy/board will be the only control componnet left.
If you have a small tipped soldering IRON, not a gun, you can generally find a replacement relay to rebuild the board for about $6 at an electronics parts store. Otherwise you will need to replace the control board itself, anywhere form $45 to $70 plus service call if you have a tech come out to the house, and the tech will just unscrew , detach wires and replace the board, no repair , approx 15 minutes work. This will likely cost over $100.
Please post back with your results

Blinking green light under 'Timer' flashes there is no picture

If you have a green blinking LED that runs continuosly, its the widespread problem of failures of capacitors on several circuit boards in the TV. Currently Mits is having authorized service centers remove the chassis and send it them for rebuilding. Its an expensive and time consuming repair.
