Question about Bose Cinemate Digital Home Theater System Speaker

Open Question

Can I cut through the speaker wires to extend a Bose Cinemate II? I have speaker wire inside the walks and want to use this and connect to the existing Bose plugs. Surely there must be a simple option to do this.

SOURCE: how do I get sound from bose cinemate while watching Bluray with?

You are right I checked the Manual online and there is no Optical in. The other tech was right in suggesting that, Cause it would be the next best thing to HDMI. It only has 1 Analog Audio in, So what I would Recommend is Plugging in all of your Devices to your TV and then 1 Audio cable from your TV to The Bose input. Although this will NOT transfer Digital Audio to Analog Audio. This means if you are going in HDMI then the Audio would most likely NOT transfer to the Bose. In this case you would have to hook up a set of Audio cables (Red and White) From the Blu-Ray to the Bose along with the HDMI. This will leave you with only Audio from the Blu-ray through the Bose. To go a step further you can purchase an Audio Splitter (or Video) then plug your Devices into the Splitter and then 1 cable out to the Bose and just Switch the Input along with the TV. Good Luck!

SOURCE: Need longer ribbon speaker wire for Acoustimass 16

I have the same question. I just called Bose at 1-877-210-3782 (prompt 6) and they have two solutions:

1. 20 foot Input extension - $25
2. Input adaptor - $12 (you can run your own speaker cable to the input adaptor)

SOURCE: Bose Cinemate green led won't come on.

Do the same thing by unplugging the power, but also unplug the interface module (box with red/green LED light) from the sub woofer / bass module, and wait 30+ seconds. Plug the interface module back in first, and screw it in as tight as possible. Then plug the power back in and try the remote. This should fix your problem. :)
If this doesn't fix it, you will have to purchase/replace this module through Bose. (anywhere from $40-$60 if not under 1-yr warranty.) If you're still under warranty, it's a free replacement.

SOURCE: bose cinemate no sound

Yes it will work coming straight off the dirctv box. What kind of tv do u have that doesnt have an audio out. I have had to actually use rca splitters to get sound from bluray and cable box because the new samsung led tvs only have optical out. Dont forget the unit not being used must be off or u will have 2 source sounds at one time playing.

Mostly it'll work if it's Same CineMate Series. Other Models like Bose Companion won't work.

No volume cinemate gs seris ii

OK, so your Bose remote is set up for your TV. That's good. You still have to connect some kind of audio output from the TV and connect it to one of the inputs on the Bose. Then you must select the input button on the Bose remote that you connected the TV to. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

My Bose Cinemate series ii is making very loud intermittent crackling sounds

Usually made from interference of some sort. Make sure that all wire connecting from both the input on the receiver and the output devices are properly secured and have no rips or tears in them. Also make sure there is nothing close the receivers with a powerful magnet (big subwoofers, powerful speakers, computers, etc) those can also cause interference. Hopefully this helps.

Splice Bose speaker to connect to receiver

Each speaker has two 4 Ohm drivers. Each speaker has a connector with 4 pins. From left to right they are + - - +. Say 1 2 3 4 . If you want a 8 Ohm speaker connect 2 and 4 together. Now 1 goes to your amplifier (+) and 3 to your amplifier (-). In yor case join black with blue. Now red goes to the amplifier red and green to the amplifier black.

How to connect from panasonic lcd tv to bose cinemate II speakers?

Why? Does a TV make audio, or does the udio come from, say, a Cable Box, which is an audio device and has a) straightforward outputs and b) high fidelity.

The TV is an end point for video.

Bose cine mate speakers

No it won't be like surround sound, but you'll have the next best thing: a nice, powerful, natural Hi-Fi sound. I have a 46 inch 1080p Sony connected to a Sony Blu-Ray and Bose Cinemate Speakers. No complicated rear speakers wiring, no awkward center speaker to hide. The only drawback is that Bose doesn't have (yet) a code to operate the Blu-ray player with the Cinemate remote control.

Hope this helps to make your decision.
