SOURCE: the vent fan on my dometic #RM2353 seems to run

The problem is likely that the thermocouple that controls the fan is defective or shorted, which keeps the fan running all the time. When the fan runs, it only means that the condenser fin on which it's mounted is hotter than 90 degrees F, which is most of the time the fridge is running. It is not related to whether the heater is off or on.

My Dometic RM2652 in my camper isn't getting cool enough when it's set on electricity. It feels cool, but not cold. The ice in my freezer turned to water, but it was still cold. The refrigerator section is...

Sounds like maybe your element for Heating when on hydro may be faulty. A voltage check at spades on board connected to element will confirm. If power to element but no heat felt at element should confirm it's faulty. Remember, if stack is already hot from propane, element will also feel hot, so it has to be out or fridge cooled down at back first.(off)

Unit cools fine on 120V, selecting GAS CHECK light on.

Do you hear a clicking sound If not. there is a black box inside the out side door. Check the fuses in it.

Put new rubber strip in fridge door. Thats my best guess. Or clean back of fridge and fan.

I connected our Dometic 2620 to propane line, no problem, but when I plugged it into power - nothing. No lights, no gas activity, nothing. Any hints?

Check your AC breakers, mine was on the same circuit with a GFI outlet that had tripped, took a bit of looking to find it, Good luck.

Dometic fridge 'check' light keeps coming on...won't cool

Yes , the check light is there to tell you that your out of gas yes this is true but the device which switches to power is not changing over which will not let the heaters work and will not start the process of cooling, I suggest to inspect the switch and ensure that this is the case first before consulting a mechanic.
