Check the ht wires for a crossed set check the firing order as there are two wires that out of sequence will cause this problem. To check firing sequence go to google and type in firing order for chev/gm 350 engine and it will give all the details.

First if it is over heating check coolant level,if okay make sure there is no air in the system. Because of age of the car check for wiring issues like exposed wires at connectors that maybe grounding.

Rough idle chevy 350

Have you checked/replaced the O2 sensor(s). They produce the data that your computer reads. Bad/clogged O2 sensors will trick the ECU into running lean/rich.

How is there No coolant in car where is it going

Check your oil, you could have a blown gasket and it is going into the crankcase. If the stick is over the full mark, of if you let it drip onto a piece of plastic like a credit card or something and you see some bubbles or what looks like water droplet being displaced by the oil, you have a problem. Or if it looks foamy on the dipstick, as oil and water do not mix, they will separate or foam if the mixture has been churning in the motor for a while. If the car seem to run fairly decent, it could be a water pump gasket or intake manifold gasket if you do indeed find water in the oil.

2002 Buick Century Limited 3.1L rough idle and P305 code shows up

You have an interference motor. If you had to replace the heads due to the valves possibly touching the motor, you have to consider rechecking the compression after you replaced the heads. I had the same motor that had an intake leak. I found frozen rings on the number 1 piston as well as a bent pushrod. Ultimately, the camshaft had broken due to coolant getting to the bearings. If the spark is good, the fuel is good, then the only other problem you'd have would be compression.

could most certainly be compression will run fine under no load but when u put in gear load is applied and kills motor get some sort of additive just to diagnose the problem something that claims to increase compression. does it smoke at all? could also be losing compression from head gasket

Hey Chevy Minivan heater dont work properly

Chevy made some weak intake gaskets on 3.1 and 3.4. My guess is that the intake gasket is weak and/or leaking and it is letting pressure out somewhere. At idle maybe the system pressure is to little to push hot coolant into the heater core.

disconnect computer and drive it ,if it drives ok then nothing wrong with it,after test drive put your hand held plug in gizmo under wheels and drive over it for what use it is.Skimmed head and new head bolts ?you must have more money than sense didnt you check it with a straight edge first??then clean it with a flat bed sander.head bolts ?? more expense .only expense should have been head gasket and antifreeze with a tube of instant gasket.Have you put all the little vac pipes back on that open the flaps on the air con and left the one off on the valve between the inlet and exhaust manifolds. Also did you remove and grind in the valves ??
