SOURCE: LOC code flashing on washing machine
Pressing the options and select buttons simultaneously for 5-10 seconds worked. For me it happened this way: on the first attempt, with the indicator lights already "timed-out" and off, pressing and holding the options and select buttons simultaneously for 5-10 seconds caused the lights to come back on and flash the "LOC" code again. But holding the options and select buttons together for 5-10 seconds a second time caused the indicator lights to stop flashing, and allowed me to start the cycle.

oohhhh. gwl10 os asearly as my knowledge about these machines go, placing a call to manufacture migh be helpfull . do any indicator lights blink when washer stops??? those are the codes so write down which ones are blink, if i had to guess though id lean toward an ou-of-balance switch failure. on my gwl10 thatslocatedunder console on right side, white bar hanging down measuring time tub hits into it. the switch usally corodes out. hope thats somthin anyway

PROBLEM RESOLVED!!!
The best I could find by scouring the internet was that it was a communication problem between the central control unit and the electronic control box. I was getting F1 codes that would stop the wash, then diagnostics showed F68 and F41 codes.
Sears wanted to charge $65 just to come out and diagnose it themselves, and these appliance sites wanted to charge their own fees to offer solutions. So I took a chance and ordered a new electronic control box ($146.00 + S&H) and installed it myself.
There are three long screws behind the control unit "hood", in the back-top of the washer, facing straight up and down. After unscrewing, I lifted up the hood up and forward, and there was a black box - the electronic control. First, you should check all the wires and make sure the connections are ok. If that still doesn't fix it, unplug all the wires, and take the electronic control out by unscrewing one 1/4" bolt. Put the new one in and re-wire everything (it shows what wires go where on the electronic control box - named by colors). No more error codes!
This washer is only a year and a half old as well, I guess it will pobably be my last Kenmore/Whirlp

Check the water pump for an obstruction in the chamber area, your pump may be sticking and that will cause the buzzing sound. The water pump runs during the fill portion of the cycle on several of the selected wash cycles to recirculate the water.
and check the pump filter
for objects
then grab the tech sheet behind the white box and use the diagnostic instructions.
