Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions
Emerson TV Model #TC2555D ( it is old ) / I moved the TV and had to set the chanel - now ch set 003 won't come off the screen
Well i fix my problem with an universal remote control of GE here is the link from walmart that is from where u can get it just $6 when u got the control program it with the code 0254 and when everything is working press SHIFT and release and then press Volume+ and the channel set will disappear... Hope this can help

If you've got a cable remote, especially Comcast, press "info" and it will come right off.
I had that happen just today after moving and it worked like a dadgum charm.

If you have digital cable you can get a code to use to remove the chanel display. Enter the code into the cable remote then press tv/vcr button.

VOL (+) or (-) to access CH SEARCH
2.1 Press VOL (+). The tuner will search
through all available channels in your area
and add them into the TV's memory.
2.2 Press VOL (-). CH SEARCH will stop at
the current channel and will not add any
2.3 Press MENU to exit.
