Question about Frigidaire Affinity ATF7000E Front Load Washer

My Front Load Affinity washer shuts off after a few minutes

When I start my washer even though there is still water in the drum it will shut down after a few mintues. I hear a buzzing sound and thought it's the water valves. I removed the hoses and cleaned the rust particles from the screens however it still shuts down. Wondering if this could be a bad water inlet valve or faulty door lock causing it to shut down. It is 3 years old and I have hard water. Also this washer has had three previous times of the drain pump clogging last time cleaned about 4 months ago this acts differently than when the drain pump is clogged then it wouldn't spin, now it just shuts down after a few minutes.

Good Afternoon Lori - Thank you for your post! Based on the symptoms you are describing, you may either have a communication error from the main control board or the timer itself may not be operating correctly. If you noticed a humming noise, then once again it could either be a clogged drainage hose or pump that needs to be cleaned, or it could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

SOURCE: Affinity E21 error

E21 means "Not pumping out fast enough". Could be debris caught in the pump inlet sump or pump body.
a75737b.jpg Disconnect the inlet sump from the pump. Disconnect the outlet hose from the pump. Remove the (2) screws, one on each side, holding the pump housing to the washer base. Unplug the wires from the pump motor and lift the pump assembly out.

SOURCE: Clogged pump on Affinity Washer

Exactly the same problem. Washed a small area rug that appeared to have pretty much disintegrated. Machine would not drain. Got the same e 20 code. Checked the drain hose, and it was fine. Reamed the house drain just to be sure. Drum appears to have drained, but now the motor runs, and no water enters the machine. Both water hoses are flowing. No further error codes. Nada.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand the door locks on your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E, and the load does not start. Please try resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Affinity top loader

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Affinity washer starts to fill with water and stops, while the counter continues counting down. I also see that nothing is happening while this is going on. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at the circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. My frigidaire affinity front load washer buzzes and will not cycle what wouldcause that?

Good Morning Friend,

I see that your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E, is buzzing and will not cycle. Some possible causes of this could be:

-Your washer is overloaded with clothes. Try taking some clothes out and restarting.
-There could be an article of clothing that might have slipped in between the gasket and the drum that might be stopping the drum from spinning. Check to see if there are any clothes that might be missing and possibly stuck between the drum and gasket.

If you have tried the above solutions and are still having trouble, I suggest giving your washer a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. After the time has passed, restore power and start a cycle. If your appliance is still buzzing and not spinning, I suggest that you contact your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your washer and determine the cause of the buzzing and why it is not spinning. Hope this is helpful.

Frigidaire affinity front loading washer

Pull the top off by removing the screws on the back of the top of the washer then the top will push back and left off. From the front reach down on the left side , there is a hose that gos from the bottom of the soap dispenser the gos into the front of the drum, you should be able to pull it out of where it gos into the drum chances are there issomthing stuck in it or there in the drum where the hose gos in. Note you may have to take the screws out of the soap dispenser and push it back a little to get your arm down in there to get ahold of the hose.

Hope this helps....

Shutting down on rinse cycle

Hi this could means that you may need to replace the washing machine bearings. Once the bearings are bad, the motor overheats and it will automatically shut down after the first rinse.
