Symptoms of a bad or failing Engine Oil Pressure Sensor
  • Oil Pressure Light comes on, and you check the engine oil level, But oil level is okay, you can blame the false reading on the sensor.
  • Oil Pressure Light blinking constantly. This is the normal >check< oil pressure sensor Warning that the sensor is going out.
  • If the sensor is giving false readings, Dispite oil level, the sensor could be replaced.
If the Sensor is currently not working, and does not warn you of engine oil level, and oil level gets extremely low, The Engine could burn up/stall due to lack of oil, and may not restart.
Then you could probably blame it on the sensor.
But really would be lack of oil.

Intermittent No Start,
Common causes deal with 3 basic systems/areas of engin
  1. Compression, its the build up of air and fuel into the engines cylinders. Then is compressed by the pistons. And is under pressure. FAILURE An Air leak (vacumm leak) will allow pressure to escape.
  2. Ignition System, good battery, good relays, wires are not loose or disconnected, good 10volts to starter, 10volts to distributer>gives 20kvolts to spark plugs>has strong spark to ignite compressed air in cylinders. Other sensors need to work. Crankshaft sensor(ccs) Throttle Position Sensor(TPS), +more
  3. Air/fuel Ratio, Air Intake Manifold, and Fuel Pressure Sensor *Fuel Injection Pressure Sensor---if car is fuel injected*, air filter is clean and intake manifold hose, Throttle Plate Acuater, Idle Air Contro Valve(IAC). Also vacumm leak cause no start. To much air not enough fuel will cause lean fuel mixter==low power, low idle, no start.......To much fuel not enough air will cause rich fuel mixter==too much fuel could cause engine knock, flooding of engine wet spark plugs, No Start

I have a 94 toyota previa i change engine but when i start the engine white smoje come out from rear muffler and gasoline too is a lot. Is like i open my water hose i check every connection on the engine...


White smoke is water. Check you have a dry airfilter. Check no white mayo in the engine oil. Check water bottle is not filling up with engine exhaust. Check not overfilled oil.

your valves in the cylinder head are not seating all the way or your piston rings are bad does the car smoke when it's running?

Brake peddle went down in one nite maybe vacumm line gone where is it on master cylinder thx


The master cylinder and booster are on the left top of the firewall, under the hood. But if the pedal goes to the floor I would not suspect vacuum. I would check for leaks.
Look at the fluid level in the brake resivour. If its low then look behind the wheels for any fluid that has run down onto the tires. The master cylinder could also be leaking inside the booster. Look at the master where it bolts to the boster for leaks (may or may not show signs). If there is no fluid loss it could still be the master bypassing internally.

Changing 4 calipers and there is no oil com out when try to bleed


The master cylinder supplies the pressure to the brake fluid that travels between the maste brake cylinder resevoir and the brake caliper pistons (through the brake lines. If the master cylinder fails there will be insufficient compression of the brake fluid to make the calipers operate as designed. Leaks in the brake lines and/or cylinders is a possibility, and unrelated to functionality of the master cylinder. Also, pistons located in the brake calipers can form a corrosion ring on their inside walls if there is breakdown in the brake fluid or moisture that gets into the lines. Operating the vehicle when there is insufficient brake fluid in the master cylinder resevoir can also lead to air getting into the brake lines, causing bad working brakes. Air compresses more than brake fluid, and the master cylinder isn't designed to compress air in the brake lines. Sounds like a bad case of "lack of maintenance", as opposed to bad advice from the mechanics. That said, there's no excuse for bad installation. But, it's tough to improperly install a brake line since they are nothing more than hollow metal tubes. There should be no rubber connectors installed in the brake lines. When bleeding the brake lines one must remove all of the trapped air before you will see any fluid appear. If the valves in the master cylinder are not properly operating the master cylinder will not allow the brake fluid to get into the brake lines.

Could be a throttle position sensor going bad or a loose or leaking vacumm line or loose or worn wiring harness. You had mentioned the engine starts heating up. Do you mean overheating or operating above normal temperature? Sounds like a vacumm issue with the fluctuating idle. Check for worn vacumm lines and check to see if the vacumm is functioning. Sometimes a simple vacumm line with a loose connection or a small hole in it can affect your idle. Old lines are easily replaceable and an inexpensive place to start, then try your egr valve, pcv valve, brake booster vacumm line, oxygen sensor could be worn and affecting the mapping of fuel and air on the computer. Usually the check engine light will come on in this case.
