Use a virus scanner to run a scan of your computer and remove any threats found.
Personally I use AVG which can be downloaded from free.grisoft.com (if the link didn't already give it away, AVG is free)

AVG Anti Virus is available free-of-charge to home users! AVG Free Edition is for private, non-commercial, single home computer use only. AVG Anti-Virus is loaded with features, including new tools that improve security and usability. Continuing from last year is the gamer mode, which allows you to enjoy full-screen games (or movies, presentations, etc.) without interruptions or popup announcements, and still maintain security. Generally free antivirus software does not give full protection. Still AVG free version is best among free antivirus software.
Turn your system restore OFF when you scan for viruses (start / programs / accessories / system tools / system restore)

This is also a free download.

The BEST solution is to reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows and your applications.
The easiest would be to run an anti-virus & malware program. AVG is a decent free anti-virus scanner. Programs like MalwareBytes Anti-Malware & Spybot are decent at trying to remove malware/rootkit infestations.
However, the simplest and most effective solution is to start over from a clean slate.
1. launch internet explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
2. install malwarebytes on the computer and scan the computer using it.

download the free version.
3. Now, once the scan it complete, you will see an option, show result, click on "show result" and then click on "Remove selected".
Now, restart the computer, it would be fixed.
use a program called hijack this and using an analyser site you can determine where the virus is coming from... this is the free way of getting rid of viruses
