There's a little screw on the back of the remote. Unscrew it and remove. Then use a small screwdriver to wedge the little lip on the end of the remote towards the bigger piece it is next to. Then leaving the screwdriver wedged in there, use another screwdriver to push the whole piece out of the remote. Only use enough pressure to do this. Good luck.

On the Whirlpool DG11F1-03 (WLP) you need to first remove a screw then push the battery tab while pulling down. There is a small philips head screw on the back, it is very easy to strip so be careful. On the bottom directly below the screw there is a tab that pushes to the left. Push it and then pull the battery holder out. Replace the battery then re-insert and screw the small battery compartment screw back together.

SOURCE: Cant find where to change the batteries in the remote... There is no obvious place to put them unless we try to bust it open. Help!

Heya Harvey,

On the panasonic remotes the batteries are under the slide down part of your remote. Where you slide the face down to expose more buttons keep sliding it down abit more and you should find two aa batts.

If this dosent make sense or you would like me to send a link for the remote let me know.

If you have any other problems please feel free to contact me

Thankyou for using fixya

Food does not seem to be cooking properly. Did a pork roast and it came out dry and tough. Make tortelli soup and the celery and carrots were still hard.

you might need to freeze your meats if you have then you need to probably go with a different temperature on your oven by setting it to 350 degrees instead of 450 that could probably be why the meat is overcooking always baste your meat in juices from the meat use a turkey baster that can help or add more water to your meat and vegetables that takes more time for the meat to cook but the product will come out more juicer.

When measuring DC voltage on any battery, the reading is always higher than it should be. ie 12volt battery reads 14.4 volts or a 9 volt battery reads 10.5 volts. Is there a way to recalibrate.

car batteries fully charged sit at around 14.4 Volts, Check readings on the battery with another multimeter and then compare with yours - it's possible that there is nothing wrong with your meter

Our Wii console keeps saying that it is unable to read the discs. We have tried cleaning the discs, reformatting the console etc but nothing seems to be working. Can you help?

Try the Nintendo web site trouble shooter for Wii. At the end of that trouble shooter you will have the option to send it to Nintendo for a fix.(about $80) You may have a warranty. It's most likely a bad Laser. Not an easy do-it-yourself job, but there are repair shops online and around town that will fix your wii for a bit less money than Nintendo.

Xbox 360 wireless controller keeps disconnecting during game.

hey look at the battery holder and in the middle of it there's a hole with a bit of metal (or there should be...) that bit of metal makes circuit at the bottom of the battery's...

long story short fold a small bit of paper (bigger enough to pull out again..) and put in hole (over metal bit) so the plastic bit on the controller can push the metal down enough.

you can test this with your tongue, tongue on battery's and push on the metal you should feel the electricity when you push on it ;-)

Yes, nice trick - ask any question and you can buy into my service for some fee. I figured as much. hell, I can do anything I want for a fee. if you guarantee they have the solution.first, I might consider a donation.

Wait a minute. if I solve it myself you want me to give to you the solution for free? you've got things a bit mixed up.

My suggestion is to never overclock. This makes the machine burn hotter and kills the life of the cpu. I learned this the hard way. If your gaming save up the money and go to the motherboard site and upgrade to a better cpu with fan.

Please advise about laptop repair

This is always a preference call. Dell has great service when you are under warranty, but the warranty extension is a little pricier than third party. Here is my general rule of thumb:

If the warranty is more than 20% of the current value, its too expensive. a 1 year old laptop is worth about 60% of its new value. so do some math, and always keep in mind the cost of a replacement.

If you have a high end laptop, that is heavily relied upon, for sure keep the factory warranty. If its personal, your money is better spent on backing up personal data (photos and files) and saving the extra money for the eventual upgrade later on.

Can't see the other person using skype

Whenever I am in a video call with someone. They can always see me, but I can never see clear them. I don't think it is a problem with my ATEK camera, because I can see myself in the little box in the corner on the skype window. The screen where I should be seeing the other person, is usually a light blue or gray. How can this be fixed?

Sniper scopes

A scope is a personal preference really but there are some ground rules that do need to be followed.

any scope will be effective in a good shooters hands. however there are some bells and whistles that are nice to have.

1) For long distance shooting a scope with 40 MOA is preferable this allows for 10 MOA down and 30 MOA up giving the rifle the ability to zero for any range.

2) Hold over graphs are a beauty when your in a rapid target environment. here is an example
http://www.zeiss.com/C12568CF00206298/GraphikTitelIntern/rz1000_lg/$File/rz1000_lg.gif

this is more of a hunting scope but this hold over calibration allows for rapid fire.
