the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: HELP installing kenwood KGC 9044

You will only use the front pre outs from the deck to plug into the only available input on the EQ. You will loose fading and subwoofer controls from the deck which is the main problem when using an eq. Then go from the eq to each of the 3 corresponding amplifiers (front, rear, sub). You will then use the eq as your control for ading front to back and sub control. Im sure by now you have it figured out anyway but if you need help, let me know. Be sure to leave good feedback so and get paid!!!!$$$

SOURCE: what is the blue/white wire on a kgc-6042a car

blue/white would be the "turn on signal" wire, i.e. one that gets 12v when the unit is supposed to be on (this would correspond to the amp turn-on or power antenna wire from your CD player) whereas the yellow wire is the 12v constant power wire.

I lost my power plug, where would be the best place to try to find one

Unfortunately, your best bet would be to contact Kicker to see about getting a replacement. You might be able to search on e-bay and find one, but that's not a guarantee.

Best settings on a 9 band eq for rock and r&b

Provided the rest of your system is all tuned an in proper shape, and up for the wattts, the best sound to set, starting with the low end...start with is a slightly elevated above zero (about 1/4 up from zero) then slowly gradually slope it down to 1/4 below zero in middle and then back up to 1/4 above at the high end.

The result is a gently curved V type shape.

Now, knock down the highest 2 or 3 freq bands a few clicks till they are just above zero. (1/8).

This is the curve you would shoot for with a real-time analyzer for SQ, punch and clarity.

Power connection

Theres supposed to be a harness that plugs into that connector. It will have the international color standard wires. Contact a kenwood dealer to get the harness.

(How To?) installing kenwood KGC 9044

You'll have to use your choice of either the front outputs or rear outputs to plug into the eq. Most equalizers I've ever seen only accept 2 channels of input, then give anything from 2 to 6 channels of output, depending on the eq.
