Ragazzi is no longer in business. And because the crib is over 10 years old it does not meet the improved mandatory safety standard for cribs that went into effect 4 years ago. I srongly suggest you throw the crib away - or if you purchased it - get your money back from who ever sold it to you (and report that person to the CPSC through Saferproducts.gov.) it is not worth the risk to your child. A crib is the only place you should leave your baby alone so shouldn't it be the absolute most safe product in your house?

Sometimes the colors are off because certain (other) colored ink toner cartridge is low. See if you get the same results after you use new toner cartridges.

It is a control box issue but now I have to decide if I want to spend $270 to fix or for $299 buy a regular water heater. By my calculations being this is year three, the 15 year life expectancy of this 1600h water heater will cost me $1500 in parts alone.

That is kinda odd... And it will not run What So Ever without the battery? Not much you can do in this case, you may need a new battery. Otherwise leave the battery on charge for 12 hours strait and see what that does.
