Magnetic gradiometers are used by archaeologists for exploring sites with minimum damage to the surroundings. They are relatively easy to use and cost efficient.

Do you have blank magstripe cards

Yes we do. Order minimum is 100 cards.

$25 for Low Coercivity - LoCo

$35 for High Coercivity - HiCo

What does Coercivity Mean?

Coercivity is the term used to designate how strong a magnetic field must be to affect data encoded on the stripe, and therefore, how immune the data is to damage.

Measured in Oersteds (Oe), the coercivity of a common credit card is about 300 Oe, considered low coercivity. Consequently magnetic money clips, refrigerator magnets, etc., play havoc with the data on your credit card's stripe. High coercivity (HiCo) magnetic stripe technology relies on particles -- generally barium ferrite (low coercivity uses iron oxide) -- with coercivity values ranging from 2500 to 4000 Oe.

The encoding technique is the same as for LoCo technology, except that it requires a stronger electrical current in the write head. Virtually immune to domestic-type magnets, HiCo substantially decreases the chances of accidental data erasure. Despite this superiority, HiCo hasn't yet replaced LoCo technology, due to the widely established base of LoCo encoders and the increased cost of HiCo encoders. Standard magnetic stripe readers, however, can read either HiCo or LoCo stripes.

High-coercivity cards are currently used in applications where the need for performance, for example in critical test equipment, outweighs price. A single magnetic stripe can hold several tracks of recorded data, which can be rewritten and updated. The ISO\IEC 7810, 11, 12, and 13 series of standards specify a three-track format, encoding scheme, and bit density for all financial card applications.

Which monono laser printer suits for extra dark printing on butter paper i tried almost. Pl guide

Dear Rajendra
You can choose any laser printer with printing resolution 600-1200 dpi. According to the type of toner non-magnetic toner will perform the best and lasts long without deterioration of its color. Before buying the choosed model you may download the driver and verify the setting procedures to confirm. Also if you are going for prepare for master the driver setting should have option for lower the dpi up to 300 , in case of screen print application. Few manfs are hp,canon used magnetic toner where as samsung, brother, konica minolata etc. are used non-magnetic toner on their low/ middle segment.
Thanks.

Generally an LCD watch is not affected by magnetism. A mechanical or quartz watch will be effected. My advice is to set a magnet on the watch and see what happens. A mechanical and quartz(or any watch with analog hands) will stop. Michael

Instructions for use

SoftPay is a marketing term that Verifone uses for a set of terminal applications which share some common code. When you see a terminal splash screen saying "Powered by SoftPay" that means that the application running in the terminal was written using the SoftPay modules.

Because there are a number of different SoftPay applications, there is no one single key to that feature. There isn't a single inclusive set of all features of all versions of SoftPay applications. Each application is different because it is written for a different processor.
