There are two possible causes for this issue. The most likely is that your exhaust filter is blocked and so the air literally cant get out. You need to replace the exhaust Hepa Filter every six months anyway so get a new one and see if that fixes the problem. If it still is popping off after this it means the tiny lugs on the filter cover are damaged so you will need to get a new one of those.

Dc25 filter keeps popping out in ball and jamming ball can anything be done to fix

Hi, it's Ambrai from Crucial Vacuum.

There are two reasons why the post filter may pop out. One reason is that the spring on your filter may be broken. The post filter should pop in and you should hear a click to make sure it is locked in place. If you don't hear that click, the spring may be broken. Otherwise, your post filter may be dirty. Once the filter is packed with debris, air can no longer pass through it causing the ball to pop open. There are also two types of filters for your Dyson DC25. Remember for optimal performance, it is recommended to change your filters every three to six months.

You can purchase your replacement filters directly from Crucial Vacuum with free shipping and an exclusive 10% coupon for readers, use code: FIXYA10

Exhaust filter keeps popping out

If the filter is clogged or not breathing well it will pop off. These filter are only good for 6 to 12 months of normal use. You can run it without the filter . The filter only helps with allergies.

Heppa filter pops off when I turn the vacuum on

Did you replace the exhaust air diffuser? That's the plastic type vent housing the hepa filter was under.

The chord will not retract? I can't find a way to get at it? I have the air filter part off. It is an ambassador vaccum.

for this model, there are no screws or anything to pry open.
First, remove the bag, from the unit and keep the door open. Remove the hose for easier operation here.
Next, both of the side bumpers must come off. They will actually slide out where the bag goes. Which is also why we are keeping the bag door open.

The easiest way to get the sides off is to use a flat screwdriver and insert it just a little at the back and then tap the screwdriver towards the front of the unit. you can use a hammer for the tapping, and you may want to have someone hold the machine as it will slide.

for this unit, when you have the side rails off, TURN THE VAC OVER so now you are looking at the wheels. You will want to remove the bottom of this machine. There are no wires or switches connected to the bottom panel. easiest way for this is to grab hold of the rear wheels and lift up.

your cord winder will be there at the back. Its probably just locked in an awkward position OR its actually broken.

Good luck

Electrolux canister vaccum 2100

The filter for your Electrolux 2100 is located on the rear top of the machine. It is covered by a plastic grill. You simply place your finger in the rear of the plastic grill, push the tab in slightly and lift the grill up to expose the filter. The filter is approximately 4" by 6". It is NOT washable. Most Vac Shops sell replacement filters in addition to them being available at the local Electrolux distributor.

Need to open motor compartment

Use a flat blade screwdriver, The dusy compartemnt door will come off by pushing it back, it just pops out. Then the rear top cover is held on by a tab, one in each corner. Put the flat blat in the slot at the bottom of the cover and work it until it pops loose. Then there are 2 screws to tak out to remove the cover over the motor and cord reel asm. But now you can get to the motor.
