Have intex cs8110 salt generator. Can't program it. 00 will not stop flashing. There are no up/down arrows on this unit.

Take the battery out (or unplug), wait 10 minutes, and reboot it. Read the instructions and reprogram it from the beginning.

How do i set up boost cycle on modelcs8110?

This is pretty easy but first you need to realize that when you boost, the system will run 8x longer than what you have it programmed for daily... So, if you normally run it for 4 hrs per day, the boost cycle will run for 32 hrs... That's important because the filter/pump needs to be running that long plus an hour...
To begin a boost cycle, simply hold down the boost button until the BOOST Green light comes on...

Hope this helps...

I have a salt water clorinator system can I use softwater salt instead of pool salt when I set up my pool

no you must use a 99% pool salt
The electro cells in a salt generator can not turn anything else into sanitizer ( chlorine )

Code 91

If you have hard water in your location you may want to try cleaning the electrolytic plate. I had the same issue where no matter how much salt was added I had code 91. I shut the water down going through the filter / generator. Pulled the outlet hose off and put on a cap. Pulled copper cell out and filled chamber with vinegar. Put cell back in and let set for 1 hour. Fluhed it out and hooked everything back up. Nop more salt problems. The process is in the book.

No chlorine reading

Salt is sodium chloride, you can only measure salt levels now as your CL (cloride) is bound to a NA (sodium). Table salt =NACL, Your Intex system will tell you if your salt level is too high or too low but your old test equipment for free chlorine will continue to tell you no chlorine as it can't react with the chloride any longer as it is bound to the salt. That is why they tell you you never have to add more because the salt stabilizes it. Your chlorine is there it's bound to the salt. Use the pool it's fine and it makes your water feel really soft! Just keep the salt level right and your fine> It's confusing as they call the unit a chlorine generator! I had the same issue, called Intex and they told me the above.
