Elite 5600 se water softener

I am trying to understand how to program it...it seems very complicated (manual reading and understanding) and since I tried to program it--the salt level in the container has not moved.

SOURCE: do not understand what the

The white dot you refer to is on the gallon wheel ? Upper right hand corner ??? That dot is the starting point for the gallon counter to read "soft water gallons used". If you turn that dial counter clockwise all the way around to "0", then turn the big main dial on the front...CLOCKWISE ONLY!!! this looks like an oven dial, you'll see that the gallon wheel will turn one complete revolution and end up back where it started, that is, the arrow will be opposite the white dot ! That white dot is critical to achieve the correct capacity recovery, based on how hard the water is and how big the cylinder is.

SOURCE: Have a fleck 5600 water

The 12 day wheel is used primarily so that the unit does NOT regenerate on the same day of the week, every week.
There is a 7 day wheel available for this valve so if you irrigate on specific days, and you need it to cycle on specific days, you have the ability to do it without the softener cycling at the same time as watering schedule.

Water Softener won't regenerate

mmmm.

I see they charge for a user manual!

I am not familiar with this controller. Is there a manual overide - a large screwdriver slot on the frint of the main shaft?

If so, you should try turning that (clockwise) to the next position and see if the moter will drive it from there. If not, then take it right through 360 degrees, one step at a time.

If it does not work on the next cycle then you may have to replace the controller.

I'm pretty sure this is the manual for your unit. It might not be exactly like the one you have but at least could give you info for it. This is something you might have to contact the manufacture for. Hope this helps!!
