Your Ematic tablet comes with a variety of Google services and business productivity apps. When a service stops working, the tablet might lock up or become unresponsive. If the Ematic tablet won't respond, you might need to reset it. You can perform a soft reset to reboot a frozen device or a factory restore to return the tablet to its original factory state.
Locate the reset button next to the headphone jack on the side of the tablet. Step 2
Insert a paperclip or another thin object into the hole. Step 3
Press the reset button with the paperclip to reset the tablet.
Tap "Settings" on the tablet's home screen. Step 2
Tap "Personal" and "Backup & Reset." Step 3
Touch "Factory Data Reset" to restore the tablet to its default state.
Hi Erica, the only way to restore your tablet to original form will be to factory restore/reset.
This is how to do it.
1: Click on your Settings Icon.
2: Click on Back up and reset
and Automatic Restore so they are clicked, then click on Factory data reset.
3: Click on Reset Device
4: Then click on Delete all
Your tablet should now restart and look like the day you bought it.
Please note that the factory reset might take a few minutes to do the reboot. Don't turn of or disturb the the rebooting, wait until it finish by itself.
There are two ways to do it. You can either update the firmware and it will erase everything for you, or you can do a factory reset, and return to factory settings. Go to Settings, PDN settings (not the Android settings menu) and scroll right to the Reset Defaults location. Tap on the reset button and you will be taken back to factory default settings. It might take a while to reload, but after everything it will be back to factory defaults from when you first bought it.
Updating the firmware might be your best option if you care to resell it, because it may cause less issues for the next person and less chance of any returns.
