Question about Computers & Internet

Open Question

Dfa philippines my mom requested for a renewal of her passport without knowing that whe she requested for extension of her old passport in kuwait, a passport was sent there and no one claimed it since she is not aware of it. Her application for renewal here in the philippines was suspended. She talked to someone in DFA moa and was able to have the passport in Kuwait cancelled after a week. After that we don't know where to follow it up anymore because they have been giving us many landline numbers where no one answers or will just give you a busy tone. I've been spending a lot just to follow it up and their email addresses are not working so i cant file a complaint on this. They told us to speak with PIFMS but no way for us to contact them since number is just ringing or busy tone. Thanks

SOURCE: how do i renew my

Hi marie_tadura,

You can renew your passport sometimes a year or two before the expiry date or sometimes after few months from the expiry date.

It depends on your country's rules, I would advise you to visit your passport office and get the conditions for the passport renewal.

hope this helps ..:)

Hello there,

It would be best to talk to DFA about this. For sure, it is illegal to get passports which does not really have your real information because that can be considered as Fraud.

Good luck.

You can replace it just make a legal letter "affidavit of loss" with notary public stamp, then go to your country's dfa and ask for additional requirements.

Better to coordinate it to DFA to prevent any further problem may occur during your travel. Only one error on the passport would gave you headache. Try to ask at DFA in they have any supporting document that they could issue to justify that the spelling is typographical error. Hope it helps thanks.

Paano po magpa schedule para makapag renew po ako ng old passport ko.. valid until nov. 06 2011 nalang po ung passport ko..

Hi,
You have to call the DFA Appointment hotline at 737 -1000 to set-up an appointment schedule. The Customer Service assistant will give you a reference number, you have to print this reference number through passport.com.ph/print. On your appointment date, you have to be in the DFA Consular Office 30 minutes before your scheduled time. If you need more info, you can go to this link : http://epassport.com.ph/what-to-expec

How can i get my philippine passport thru mail

You can go through a few options.

First off:

First, I made an online appointment through the DFA's website. This is the most important step if you don't want to wait for hours at the DFA. Notice that there are two choices: one for the recently introduced biometric passport and one is for the machine readable passport. If you are not traveling within the next 10 weeks, you're okay to make an appointment for the biometric passport. If you are traveling within the next 10 weeks, I suggest you apply for the machine readable passport. [Edit March 3, 2010: It seems that the DFA is not issuing Machine Readable Passports anymore. If you are renewing your passport, you will be getting the new biometric e-passport]
