Question about Compaq Refurbished EVO D310 PENTIUM IV 2.4 GHZ 256/40GB/CD/10/100 NIC MINITOWER PC Desktop
I bought an intel 815 board with compaq logo,i have 1GH intel proceesor,512Ram and 80GB hard disk; When I turn on the system,it give the following error with F1 to boot, but it boot successfully 1801 microcode patch error, invalid or missing microcode, contact your ROM BIOS manufacturer for new BIOS for new PROCESSOR STEPPING. my comp hanged and produced disorted lines running vertically or horizontaly when i rebooted it keeps om showing me the microcode patch error 1801 boots succesfully but does the same over and over
The BIOS of your motherboard is not fully supporting the processor type and meanwhile it also runs the operating system. to fix this problem you have to update its ROMPAQ (BIOS)
to do that you have to check the bios version in bios setup with F10 key. then search for the same family ROMPAQ (BIOS) on compaq.com for microcode update. and follow the instruction given on download page of compaq.
