Amplifyer working one channel only - Audio Players & Recorders

Clarifying, Sony HCD SD1 a mini stereo system, not a car stereo. It has ceased functioning in the right-hand channel and I was wondering if there is a simple solution. A service shop has said they will charge just to look at it but if it needs parts they are probably not available any more. Anyone have any suggestions?

How do I attach and play a technics record deck to a technics DV250 amplifyer?

The problem you are facing is that the record player audio outputs has a left channel, a right channel and an earth or grounding cable. If this grounding cable isn't attached, you are likely to get a hum sound. I would suggest buying a record player RCA (Ground simulating) cable or you will have to buy an inexpensive mixer that supports record players through which you can channel this record player. Once you have all these, just follow the white and red color coding to attache the right channel to the right socket.

How do I conect external speekers and get them to work? Sansui 22

Depends. What are you hooking external speakers to? Car radio? If the speakers do not exceed the output of the radio, you can directly hook speakers up to the radio by connecting 2 wires. If they do exceed the radio output, you will need an amplifyer.

Everytime i put a new fuse into my amp the fuses fry instantly.

the fuse is frying instantley because you have a direct short. have you tryed disconnecting the speaker leads from the amplifyer? if disconnecting the speaker leads works then you had a short in your speaker or speaker wire.

I bought logitec speakers but withought subwoofer is there any way i can connect them to the pc withough the subwoofer or no?

the speaker with the subwoofer may not work as the speaker needs a power supply to boost the sound from the PC.....even if you connect to the sound jack of PC using some adaptor it may not give out the required sound.....i mean it will need amplifyer, the job of the amplifyer is normaly done by the big box that comes along with the speakers (called subwoofer).....

We have just installed a Bose lifestyle system, with SA 2 and SA 3 amplifyer, with a second set of speakers in another room. we cannot get sound to the second room. the second remote is not responding....

Make sure you unplug your sa 2 and sa3 amplifiers after setting the codes. Wait at least 60 seconds, then plug back in. I would also unplug the in and out boselink cables as well. Once youve waited for a minute, then plug everything back in. Should work. If not, call Bose technical support. They are really great. I have 15 SA 3 amplifiers throughout my home. They are great.

Sometimes it works, sometimes not

Good news it may not be broken but it may need to be servicer by a dealer . but try playing with your stero/mono switch first to see if it cleans up the problem.

Seakers shorting out... wiring or amplifyer?

Sounds like a wiring problem. check the connections on whatever is easier first (radio/speakers) if the connections are good you may have to trace the wires to see if there is a break or short somewhere.

thanks for replying back to us we found the instructions in the end but we still cant get a signal.
we've brought a digital aireal and put that in the loft cant get anything off that, we've brought a digital amplifyer and cant get anything out of that.
so we are going to try and put the aireal outside.
my brother in law thinks it could be because we live in a tin house and the tin is stopping the amplification. thanks again poppy5494
