You need to have the system component tested
to determine if the Crank Sensor is bad,not throw
parts at it.
OBD Codes have nothing to do with telling you to
replace a part or that they failed
Leave that to a pro with the proper knowledge &
test equip

I have these codes reading now po700 po335 and po727 any idea what to check first on 03 kia sorento. my car lost power then shut off, then wouldn't start

p0335 is a crank shaft sensor error. This sensor is what tells the ECM when to send spark to plugs. That is why it wont start.

My car is nissan Terrano 1996 Engine 32QD i made diagnosis after showing engine check blinking and go away, the result is 0047 CKP SEN/CIRCUIT what should i do then ? please help

Hi Josephath, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Josephath, anytime the code relates to a CIRCUIT that means that it could be a broken wire or the connector going to the Crank Position Sensor "CKP" . The connector could be corroded or a broken wire or a damaged terminal inside the connector. It also could be the CKP Sensor has gone bad. It also could be the computer that controls that circuit. I would start with a new CKP Sensor clear the codes and see if it come back. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair-website at: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

I replaced the engine control module

code po335 refers to crankshaft position sensor(CKP)--circuit malfunction===causes wiring--CKP sensor --ECM
check the air gap and rotor security . Check for dirt in the air gap. Change CKP sensor.
code po113 refers to intake air temperature (IAT) sensor ---circuit malfunction===causes ---wiring open circuit /short circuit to positive ---wiring short to ground---ground wire defective--IAT sensor ---ECM

2005 nissan altima codes p0725, po335. how to fix

P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction P0725 Engine Speed input Circuit Malfunction
  1. Using a scan tool, check if, when engine is running or cranking, that there is an RPM signal.
  2. If there is no RPM reading, then visually inspect the crank sensor and connector for any damage and repair as necessary. If there is no visible damage, and you have access to a scope, you could check the CKP 5 Volt square wave pattern. If you do not, then, obtain a resistance reading of your crank sensor from a repair manualmag-glass_10x10.gif. (There are so many different types of crank sensors that there's no way to put here which resistance reading is correct). Then check the resistance of the CKP sensor by disconnecting the sensor and measuring resistance of the sensor. (It is best to check resistance readings from the PCM connector. This rules out any wiring problems from the start. But it does require some mechanical skill and shouldn't be performed if you\'re not familiar with automobile electrical systems). Is the sensor within resistance specs?
  3. If not, replace the CKP sensor. If so, recheck resistance reading from the PCM connector. Is the reading still okay?
  4. If not, repair open or short in the wiring to the crank sensor and re-check. If the reading is okay, the problem is intermittent or the PCM may be at fault. Try reconnecting and checking for RPM signal again. If there is now an RPM signal, wiggle test the wiring harness to try and induce the fault.

Codes read PO335, PO304, PO336 i need to know what they are for, Please !!

304 is misfire on cylinder #4. #4 is the middle cylinder on the driver's side.
The other 2 relate to the crankshaft sensor:

P0335 Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor -

possible causes: circuit malfunction Wiring, CKP sensor, ECM

P0336 Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor - range/performance problem
possible causes: insecure sensor/rotor, air gap, wiring, CKP sensor

Is the car running? If yes, check for a loose connector on the crank sensor. You may need to take the connector off and see if there is any corrosion on the terminals. If yes, do your best to clean with a small screwdriver and/or electrical parts cleaner.

From what I can tell, the sensor is on the bottom of the engine near the idler arm, but it has a long pigtail such that the connector is on top of the engine by the fuel rail. See pictures below.

for the misfire,

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6715318-causes_gasoline_engine_misfires . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.
