It wont turn on, how do i tell if its no good or just a fuse?

A blown fuse is more likely. Most cars have two fuses in the vehicle fuse box that can supply power to the stereo, and there's another fuse built into the back of the stereo unit itself. It's not uncommon for one or more of these fuses to blow when the battery is changed.

Do I need to replace my battery

You want us to guess--- do you?

How about testing the battery

For that car, you have to go to a dealers
parts dept, for the battery, as it has a vent tube
on it.

They only last 2 to 4 years on a Lincoln L/S, but
they have a 100 month warranty,so you can keep
getting new batteries for up to 8.3 years for free, once
you buy the first one

06 ford falcon wont do nothing wont start or turn over new bat

Bad or loose battery cable(s). Tighten the connectors on all ends, and go hand-over-hand to inspect them for fault or damage.

Just enough juice to make the radio work but not enough to turn it over, right?

Try this test: Turn the headlights on, then try to start it. If the headlights (or interior lights) dim down or go out, then if it ain't the battery, it surely is one of the vables or connectors.

My Honda Accord wont start even with a jump. The lights come on but wont turn over. No click, no sound, no nothing

IT's those short drives that burn down a battery! The starting of an engine requires mucho electric to get it running. The alternator then charges the battery, but slowly! If you also have the lights and stereo on it is even slower. Get the battery FULLY charged with a commercial battery charger. Then check to see if the alternator is charging up the battery after you start it. If not, replace the alternator. If the battery dies overnight or in a few days...replace the battery.

Why wont my sony dashboard flip out stereo turn on. It folded up and just shut off checked fuse it is fine.

Confiscate the remote! Take out the new batteries and reinstall to reset the remote. Do you see any indication that power is getting to the stereo? Try the normal turn-on procedure for the stereo. Are you sure the fuse you checked is actually the one that powers the stereo?

That's all the suggestions I have. Good luck!

Why wont my stereo wont turn on

make sure you have a good ground and 12 volts on the power wire.the problem is in the way you are wiring it if the unit works when hooked to a battery.

I put a new stereo im my 1996 seville and it wont get power

sounds like its wired wrong .. there are three power inputs to the radio .. one is on all the time .. its for the clock only ... the second is from the panel lamp dimming circuit .. it turns on when the panel lights are on ... the third is the main power to the radio .. it is only on when the ignition is on or in accessory mode ..

Stero killing battery while car is shut off.

Usually car stereo's have two wires that supply power, aside from the ground. One has power all of the time, for your memory and clock. The second is for when you turn the ignition key on, to allow the stereo to come on. It sounds like you have a power wire going to the the wrong one.

Replaced stock stereo and now jeep wont start, it turns over but just wont start. The security system did honk a couple times during the installation of the new stereo

these vehicles have an anti-theft designed into them. When you remove the stereo, you probably shorted out the anti-theft and it won't let you start the car as if you were trying to steal it......

My stereo wont turn on

try replacing the fuse for the radio. it will look clould/blackish and the little metal piece running in it wont be connected. It should be underneath the steering wheel and should be labled. if you have trouble finding it, consult the manual.
