I have a 2010 Nissan Altima and my air conditioner stopped throwing cold air doesn't need refrigerant and the air conditioner compressor works only gives hot air no cold please help

it could be several things could be the switch, also there is a flap in the dash that may not be opening, but if the compressor is kicking on and you are able to hook a gauge up to ensure you do have enough freon in the system this is a must try those things and let me know good luck!!!

Why has the ice started tasting bad even with new filter?

One of the power saving features of new refrigerators is that the cold air from the refrigerator gets recirculated to the freezer. What that means is that if you have uncovered food or odors in the refrigerator, that smell will go up into the freezer and your ice will take on that taste. Throw away all bad food, clean, cover all food, and put a box of baking soda in your refrigerator and this should help.

Top 3 shelves don't freeze

Cold air sinks. If evaporator temp is not low enough only the items on bottom of freezer will get cold and possibly freeze - stuff on top will not.
Throw a digital thermometer in there towards the top shelves and I bet your temps are high. Low refrigerant will cause this; furthermore, if you leave the refrigerator door open by accident, the refrigerator will never shut off, the freezer evaporator will freeze over with a block of ice, and the freezer temps will be higher. If that is what happened, simply unplug the unit and allow it to self defrost and then turn it back on for proper operation and make sure that the refrigerator door is properly closed!

I have an Amana Refrigerator. It is a double door on top and a pull out freezer on the bottom. The freezer is working fine. The refrigerator light comes on but it is not cold and my fresh food is fading...

either the evaporator fan in the damper vent door isnt running to push cold air from the freezer up into the refrige compartment or the damper vent door between the freezer and refrige section is frozen shut and cannot open to allow cold air flow, you need to access the evaporartor coil in the freezer rear wall and check both the fan and door movement

My GE Monogram Refrigerator doesn't get cold; however, the freezer works fine. How do I fix this? Sonny

It is froze in the top. There is no air going to bottom. The drain could be stopped up. Take the bottom panel out. throw the ice with a hair dryer. It is beat to use air to blow out the drain. If that don't work and it keeps freezing up. the defrost timer or the heating coil or limit is bad.

Freezer stays cold but refrig does not

Hi, Look and see if there is frost built up in the freezer on the back wall.
If there is frost, it will not let air circulate properly and it means there is a problem in you self defrosting cycle.
Please let me know if this is what you find so that I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

Refrigerator no cold

monsalve_jes sounds like your fridge is short of gas so throw it out and get a new one is the best option

timmi4545, There is a air flow way between the fridge and freezer i would imagine it is blocked with ice.

Not getting cold anymore

Unit has probably lost its charge of refrigerant.

Check for warranty, or buy another one.

Usually they are not worth repairing, sorry
