Question about Amana Refrigerators
My Amana side-by-side, model number arse67rbc, is not freezing. I took the panel inside the freezer off and the coils had a huge chunk of ice. I melted that and left the panel off for a day to watch it. The coils would get a little bit of ice on them and then defrost, which I think is the way it is supposed to work. However, after filling it with ice packs and some tubs of ice (to help it cool faster), everything is still melting. Any ideas? Do I need to replace the run capacitor? Thanks!!

Sounds like it has a defrost problem. Check for thick frost buildup on the back bottom panel in the freezer first and let me know what you find so I can steer you in the right direction. Also, give me the entire model # from the sticker inside fridge.
