PS3 keeps switching off

I can confidently say your ps3 is about to go YLOD, nothing really that you can do about it, if you wanna continue to use it you will have to do a reflow with a heat gun which is a very delicate process, I would advice you to sell it after doing the reflow and let the person buying know about the impending problem since it is a recurring one, go on youtube and search for "Gilksy ps3 reflow", Hope this helps

No video or sound on ps3 tried all reset options with no luck? what else? reflow?

Yeah sounds like it to me. Does the PS3 look like its working normal from the unit (green light), just that TV does nothing?
After trying to reset the output with no luck then it makes you think that its the PS3 version of the xbox360 audio no video fault.
at this point its a good idea to try and reflow the board (if your out of warranty), I have fixed this problem on about 6 PS3 units for the same reason.
http://www.youtube.com/user/ohiocitysales#p/u This is a good reflow guide from youtube, 6part videos and the guy knows what hes doing.
Hope this helps.

I got an error in my console e73erro

E73: I/O Hardware Error - Couldn't calibrate HSIO Bus from edram: this error is likely caused by a problem with the Ethernet port or supporting control devices
Sometiems you can fix this with a reflow, but its hit & miss (50/50) with this error, as the actual port may be faulty, but reflowing wont hurt to try, or you can sell it for spare parts on ebay and get another base unit.
If you wanna try to reflow, there is a great 6part video guide on YouTube to view for free. 6 videos from the same fellow, each video is a few mins long, and goes over everything for you.
http://www.youtube.com/user/ohiocitysales#p/u and its free unlike some eBook site.

I actually used the same method to fix over 450 Xbox360 units with no problems at all, barring a few (but i have done nearly 500 so you expect a few problems along the way), you just need a few things though like a heat gun and some thermal paste. sounds hard, but it's very easy once you start!

Hope this helps in some way.

My x-box 360 has no picture when turned on.

Your XBOX 360 has a video problem. A different cable will not fix this. It needs to be reflowed. Look online on how to reflow an XBOX360 or send it in for repair.
