Question about Refrigerators
The fan in the back of the refrigerator is not working. The motor seems to be ok. Thanks
On the inside or the outside? How do you know that it is not working?

if the evaporator is clogged with ice, then you have a defrost problem.
check the defrost heater and the bi-metal .
to answer your question what controls the fan then it is the module that controls the fan.
you said you have diagnostic to test the damper then there should be a procedure also to test the evaporator fan motor.
why don't you try it..
tnx 4 using fixya,

These motors with the plastic fan are apparently failing so often that when I went to the parts store, the owner told me on guy bought 4 replacement motors for his condo complex. Buy the old version of the motor with a metal fan blade. You have to clip off the white connector on the wiring harness and then wire to the new motor using wire nuts (easy). It's a lot cheaper too - $49 for the motor and blade vs alost $100 for the crappy plastic one. Running llike a champ right now!

Manny MANY unfortunate customers who bought this **** from Samsung have problem.
Specifically the Freezer cold but fridge side no lower than 55deg problem.
It is a known defect that Samsung has not taken ownership of. I have the same problem with the same model as many.. if you search the net. Iv'e been trying to find a designated website for repairs for this problem. Please post website with solution if anyone finds it. Thanks
