Is turbo your pc a scam

Yes it is. Don't touch it.
Be very careful with any aftermarket software offered for free and in some cases for purchase.. Often the suppliers of such products will also cause unwanted programs to be simultaneously downloaded to your computer when you DL their software and you will not even be aware of them.

Frequently you will also have problems with your computer operation when you DL free aftermarket software offers and even some purchased offers. Anything from your computer being slow to start and then slow in operation to more serious issues. Some suppliers also make their software extremely difficult to remove from your system once you have DL it and later want to get rid of it. Some will even try and charge you a fee to get rid of it.

Always do a google investigation of any aftermarket software you are considering for DL as you will usually find dozens of websites where users have complained of problems after DL some of these aftermarket software products.

Right from startup if i try to load a program my computer freezes and i get a loading wheel. When I am able to run a virus scan with wildblue it doesnt detect any viruses or spyware. Lately it tells me...

Remove all antivirus products you dont use, and use only one product at time. There is a few good products on the internet....and most of them is for free.

Remove all search products called mostly "Tool Bars" it already builtin in the most of the surf products. It is only more work for the computer.

Try to update from Microsoft Update regulary, if not helps, backup all your Photos and all important documents in My Documents and after backup reinstall the computer.

I have a Genesis G-6030 Homer Theater and it doesn't work anymore, it stops in the like FM radio, and does sounds like a buzz, the remote doesn't do anything, please help me :)

I have a feeling you may have bought his froma Flea Market or from the back of a White Van. This particular brand is not a legitimate Co. that makes good products; as a matter of fact it is one of the brands that is featured in articles that discuss "White Van Scams".The product you bought typically doesn't last a year or a month or even a week in some cases.

I do not want mto be cruel to you, but there are literally thousands of people who have fallen prey to these products and tactics. I too have been a victim of this scam but I bought from someone on E-bay, so I thought it was legitimate.

The next time you go on-line type in the words "White Van Scam", and you will receive a wealth of knowledge.

Norton security does not stop what it should

If you have another computer system around, remove the hard drive and plug the drive into the other system. Scan the hard drive using a virus scanner.

Some viruses are difficult to remove otherwise.

I would recommend Kaspersky as an Antivirus system and proactive scanner. It has not failed me yet. It has a 30 day trial (I think its 30 days) that you can try.

It helps the antivirus system, to have your computer free of infections (viruses, spyware, etc.) before installing any antivirus software.

Bios Password

Hi there.
1. Turn the computer OFF, if it's on.
2. Remove the memory module cover, on the bottom of the computer.
3. Check the configuration of memory modules in the two sockets. It's necessary to have a memory module present in the outermost socket only.
  • If there is a memory module in only the outermost socket (the one farthest from the system board), then continue to step 4.
  • If there is a memory module in only the innermost socket, move it to the outermost socket.
  • If there are memory modules in both sockets, remove them both, then re-insert one of them into the outermost socket.
4. Carefully peel back the black Mylar film. Pull this film to the side enough to expose the B500 solder pads. Do not remove the film completely, because it may be difficult to re-attach it correctly.
5. Short the B500 solder pads on the system board. Needle-nose pliers or a flat-blade screwdriver works well to short them.
6. While continuing to short-circuit the solder pads, turn the computer on, and continue shorting the pads until the Toshiba Logo Screen appears. then remove the short.
7. Re-position the Mylar film over the system board.
8. If you removed a memory module, turn the computer OFF, then re-insert it.
9. Re-attach the memory slot cover.
10. turn on computer, if it boot password has been removed.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!

Virus problem

Hi, viruses are quite easy to remove, and shouldnt cost you anything if done correctly.

uninstall any virus software you have, download this software and install it
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/Panda-Antivirus-Titanium.shtml
update it and scan the whole system, it will pick them up and remove them, then once its took off as many as it can, uninstall this virus check and install a different one like this

http://us.trendmicro.com/us/products/

do one more scan and your as good as new...

you dont have to change the virus checker the second time, but alot of virus checker dont always pick up them all so always better to scan with two different ones to make sure there all off..

All the best

John
