I left my phone charging over night becasue i was using the alarm, when i woke up the phone was off and wouldnt turn back on, ive tried different batterys and chargers, sometimes when i plug the charger in the I.R in the side flashes, i dont know what else to try is there anything?

This happened to me, I know this is probably the least helpful answer but after trying to turn it off and on again and failing while charging it, I unplugged charger, took out battery for a few seconds then put battery back in and try charging and turn on/start it again. Then it worked and came up with charging symbol.
No idea what happened to it, can only assume because it has a mini computer that it crashed and needed a restart, just like a computer would.

The first thing I would suggest is getting a new battery for your phone and testing that out. to do so what you can try is going into your local provider store and asking them to test another battery. if it works GREAT all you need to do is buy a simple battery rather then repairing the phone. Also try a SEUS off the website www.sonyericsson.com go to support and then to ur phone and select sony ericsson update service.

I have a similar problem with my sony ericsson z555.
i had it turned off, and when i came to turn it back on again, the screen was blank, and it didnt do anything.
sometimes it just blinked or gave a jolt, but it's still off and broken. it doent flash the red light, like some people commented.
it's 1 1/2 years old, and this is the 2nd time this has happened! the 1st time, i just plugged it in overnight and it was fine in the morning.
but now, that doesnt work anymore...
i have tried many of the things on here
(taking out the battery, or SIM card, or memory card, etc...)
but nothing works!

My phone turned on but just went on to a blank screen the sony erricsson logo would not appear i took the sim card, memory card and battery out and left it for a while about 30-60minutes i put all the stuff back in switched it on and it worked.
I hope this helps anyone with the same or similar problem like mine.

when not used for some time battery takes about 30 min to start charging. if used and suddenly stopped then is time to replace battery.

are you sure there is power in the battery?
If you do, try to dismantle the battary and put it back again after 10 minutes.
That will do the trick
