Water dripping in fridge from below frezer

There is a drain tube that runs from the freezer/ evaporator compartment that allows ice melt water to drain from the defrosting cycle. Often times that drain hole will become clogged with food debris, glass from a broken heating element, paint chips from scaling and mildew, etc. When that drain hole gets clogged the water has no place to go except down into the fresh food compartment. Unplug the ref and remove the food and ice maker and racks. Remove the freezer back panel and look for a drain hole and clean it out. I use a wet/ dry vacuum at first and if the clog is deeper I will use compressed air to blow the line clear. You can also use a water hose with water pressure. Best done outside of the house.

Black specks in the ice

I have the same problem and haven't solved it yet. I have a brand new water heater. A retired carpenter/contractor (47 years) posted this, saying that he knew what it was right away. He said it was the deep well pump. (I do have a well). The seal in it had broke and was leaking oil into the water. Every time the pump would come on it would stir up the tiny bit of oil, enough to make it look like a barrel. I haven't had mine checked yet, but it certainly makes sense to me.
