Spin - loud noise - switched off - drum wont turn

I'm just hazarding a guess here, but it sounds like the bearings have gone (if you try to turn the drum by hand and it sounds noisy and grinding/crunchy then I think it would be the bearings). I'm certainly no expert though.

Rattling, crackling type noise just started and is constant when microwave is running.

A couple of months ago my microwave started making crackling, rattling and grinding sounds everytime i used it and i thought it was going to break down. It turned out one of my children must have spillled or overflowed something with a clear liquid because the micro did not look dirty but there was a crunchy substance under the wheels of the turntable. Once i cleaned this up totally the noises all went away.

I have a PV-DF 2735 TV. The DVD player started making a grinding noise when you try to play dvd.

Hi,
It seems your DVD get friction with your flat wires ( power and control cables of spinning motor). Just check it out and bend a bit your wires ( while turn off) to avoiding the noise.

I have reviewed your problem and have the fallowing for you to aces.
First, this sounds like a simple open switch problem.
If you are receiving a open cover message, try the fallowing.
Check carefully each of the closing covers or doors.
You should see a tab on the covers that fit into a hole. Beneath the hole is a micro switch. If the tab is not hitting the micro switch, you will receive the message.
Try using the eraser end of a pencil and see if the message disappears.
Hope this solves your problem and you have little to no cost on your repairs.
Happy Holiday's

Onan generator making grinding noise while cranking

If it walks like a duck and quaxks like a duck?

If it grinds like a starter ?

Your alternator would hsve to be in absolutely unaerviceable condition to match a noise a starter makes.
