You must go www8.hp.com and according with your model, serial, etc download the appropiate version that you have, and then download the version BIOS update. Otherwise you must contact with them via ONLINE chat for get support in order to explain what going on with the BIOS update in your computer.

Some BIOS will only give you the option for USB if there is a USB detected upon boot. List all your boot options it could also be listed as something like Legacy USB, USB FDD, USB HDD

You will have to downgrade your BIOS.

Since it cannot boot via a USB stick, you can try making a bootable CD instead. Follow this link to create a bootable DOS CD. Don't forget to include the BIOS files before burning the CD.

Download the bios here at intel:

Save the BIN file on a usb disk or a diskette
and let the pc boot from it.
Follow the instructons on the screen.

You need to reenter the boot settings in the bios
the clock and the harddrive settings etc.

My sound driver is not working properly.After reinstalling windows xp sp3(clean install),i couldn't hear the sound.The device Manager is showing Multemedia and Audio controller and could insatll the driver...


Go to the web site of what ever PC you have ( Dell, HP or what ever the PC is ). At the web site you should find section that says drivers and support, or something like that. It will have you select your make and model. You should find the correct drivers there.

BIOS Password Problem


The only thing that a bios update would do would update the bio your password info should stay the same maybe your not typing it right try typing with or without cap lock

BIOS upgrade?


u can use usb cddrive without update bios but unlike later versions of windows where you just plug it in and it detects it you will have to use an instalation disk for system to recognise device same with usb stick.
what mem do u have and consider xp (need at least 40meg to install)if u can fit 256 or higher ur laughing mem cheap as buttons these days.
