Hot point indesit wd 125 . I was cleaning the washing machine, so put cleaning stuff in put it on 1 for a hot wash. Did that fine. Put it on 1 again to flush out the chemicals, but it stopped mid cycle and the power light will not come back on. Have changed the fuse and checks fuse box. Any advice would be appreciated

is it the motor that got hot?, if so then check the motor carbons for wear, as these heat up when worn, also if the carbons are fine check the pump and filters for blockages, this makes the motor spin while water is still in the machine causing the motor to overheat, and subsequently tripping and blowing the fuses etc hope i have helped a little

could be that the clothes are unbalanced in the machine as well, next time, try a full load and see if ti helps. good luck.

Drain the water by lowering the hose into a bucket or something and then try it on spin, if it spins o/k then you probably have blocked pump or filter.
The filter is located in the large black hose that is fastened to the bottom of the drum, remove and clean.
Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Have you checked the pump filter, and or that the pump is actually working. if it spins o/k with no water in, then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump o/k, then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
