Question about Televison & Video
I need a service manual or main PCB Circuit as I am a retired TV & Video Tech trying to fix my sons TV I have been told that the main board (part BN94-02127B)is no longer available in Australia and is not supported by the USA for parts or ic's etc the problem is a vertical red Chroma bar aprox thirty centre metres from the left however the tv will work with extra heat sinks and a fan on the main board I have already changed all caps in the PSU inverter etc and am trying to either replace the main PCB or isolate the shorted SMT and replace it can you help?
I have been told that my power suppy board has gone out and i need to know how to fix it and where it is

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Your set is servicable with proper troubleshooting. Normaly, the defective boards are swapped out to service these sets. This fault can be in the address decoder, or the display drive boards. It is also possible that the failure is in the display assembly itself.
My preference would be to give the set to the authorised service rep to have an estimate to deterine if the set is worth to service.

Not serviceable at component level, yeah right! They wish it isn't - it's a well known fact that electronics manufacturer's spare parts divisions generate more profit (with less revenue) than the retail units.
Long story short, we've serviced tens if not hundreds of those boards and we certainly aren't one of the biggest "unauthorized" service centers around.
I.e. we do not have a Samsung license and frankly, we don't need one.
LJ41-02759A is anything, but a black box and its weaknesses are well known within the service tech's community.
For D5001 you can use any 1A fast or ultra-fast rectifier diode with at least 200V reverse voltage. We use this:
If you need help, check out blog or contact us for service information.

The spark that you saw was probably caused by a cold solder ..remove the old solder, clean the pcb make sure that the track is still ok..if there is a break its ok to jump it with no.22 AWG solid copper wire. Some tv version gets the 24vdc supply for the vertical circuit from the flyback transformer. Also check the vertical IC for cold solders ..hope your problem is confined to cold solders only..good luck

This is not an issue with the main board . Its a clear case of faulty LCD controller board or the LCD panel itself is faulty(most likely). I suppose the sound is not affected?
