The alternator for a 95 neon

1 first take the right tire off
2 then lift the car
3 then get a 15mm socket and loosen the blots of the bracket
4 then open the hood and undo the power steering and take off the top bot of the alternator
5 then take off the bottom blots and take off the bracket
6 then move the alternator so you can disconnect the wiring i think you need a 10mm for that maybe smaller
7 then pull it out(when i did it to mine it was hard to pull it out)
8 then to put it back just the same way but backwards

mine broke too if you need more help email me ozark99@hotmail .com

97 plymoth neon crank sensor

If there is spark to cylinders 2 & 3 than it is not the cranks sensor. Cylinder 1 & 4 are on the same coil and cylinders 2 & 3 are on the other coil. Replacing lithe coil pack will likely solve you lack of spark on cylinders 1 & 4.

1999 plymoth neon 3rd cylinder misfire

no. 3 plug, wire or coil pack. Remove the plug wire one inch from the plug using a properly insulated plug wire tool with the engine running, if you hear a tick, tick sound then it's the plug if you don't hear a tick tick sound it means it's the wire or the coil.

Can you use a differnt altanator

The alternators are identical on the outside, but some are 90 amps and others are 120 amps depending on what accessories yoiu have...so the answer would be no.

New radiator for 96 plym neon is too large. old one was much smaller. 2L SOHC 16 valve engine, no AC, what gives? Are there 2 diff engines for 96 neon?

Yes there is 2 different engine, 2.0L SOHC, and 2.0L DOHC, but autoparts stores show a few different sizes available, with AC, and without, as well as cooling fan mounts location. Better take lots of measurements and head back to parts store. That's one good reason for taking old part in with you, when at all possible.

My daughter has a 1995 plymoth neon. It is having

I would suspect something like a faulty mass airflow sensor, but why not take the car to an autoparts store and have them use a scan tool to retrieve any fault code(s) that are stored in the computer. Most parts stores offer this service for free. Getting the codes should end speculation and narrow down the cause of the problem. Sure hope this helped and best wishes.
