You need to send the full model number, most likely you have a bad clock assy.even though your clock might work it comes with the clock and a computer board all together.i never heard of resetting a timer,i do know that if you unplug or shut down the power from the fuse box for 5 to 10 minutes sometimes resets the computer just like a regular house computer, it sounds like your loosing power and i don't think resetting anything is gonna help you, also make sure you have 240 volts going to the oven, but if the fan and light are not working and no heat it sounds like you have a bad clock assy.if it's in good shape and depending on the age you might want to call someone in to check it for you,if it is the clock assy. it might not be avalable anymore but there are companies that can rebuild the clock assy. you have.good luck with your oven.

SOURCE: My oven wont heat up light and fan work I have

Even though the element look's o/k, it is more than likely faulty, more so if the fan is working o/k.
The only 100% test to make sure if it is faulty, is to test it with a meter.
In my experience I would advise you to replace the element.

SOURCE: my hotpoint oven is not heating up but hobb and

If you have a HOTPOINTelectric Cooker or Fan Ovenwhich is not heating it could be one of the following problems.
1, If the fanmotor inthe back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normallylittle red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new ovenelement, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from ourwebsite these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the HOTPOINTelement youwill have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you willsee the fan and element,if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where ithas blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuitie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Someelements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nutsfrom the rear of the machine.

2, If your HOTPOINTfan oven is getting warm buttakes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than theother, then you need to check if your oven fanmotor is working you will seethe blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fanmotor isnot blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fanmotor is a little more expensive and a bit moreinvolved.
    3. If you have theopposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then youwill need to replace your HOTPOINToven thermostat

4, A quite commonand easily overlooked answer is if your HOTPOINToven is not working at all ie:no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer intoAUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

Hi Our oven wont turn on, has power as the display panel has a little "A" luminated on the left of display screen but nothing else operates, no fan, Grill, timer. please advise

This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
    1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
    2. If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
    3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

You to check the element with a meter to ensure if you are getting a sapply to it, if you are, then the new element is faulty, if no supply, then probably ythe thermostat is faulty, also check for broken or bad conn ections.

    Oven not heating

    Hello.
If the fan is working, but there is no heat, then it is the fan oven element that needs to be replaced.
It has nothing to do with timer on this occasion.
Remove panel at rear of oven compartment, there you will see the round element.
Undo fixing screws, and remove element, disconnect leads and fit onto new element, refit new elemrnt, replace cover, and job done!!!

Please leave a fixya rating for my solution.
    Thankyou

    Hi,
While it is flashing auto ,you will not get the oven to heat up.
You must press the timer buttons in the correcf sequence to cancel auto.Refer to user hand book.
If you suceed with this, and the oven still does not get hot, then the element has probably failed.
