Can do the obvious and unplug for a couple of hours and test again. Components in the fridge will have run excessively so something may just have overheated. If that doesn't work you will need some more info, are there lights on? Do you have alarms, beeping? Can you hear any noises, fans running, compressor etc. I have had a couple of cases where after leaving the door open the fridge defrost timer has gotten stuck on defrost. Though I don't know if you have electronic control or mechanical.

I have a sharp fridge SJ-P49N-SL. A recent power outtage in the area lasted 8 hours. When the power came back on, the fridge seemed to be ok. But, after 5-6 hours of operation, the freezer is not cold...

Checked Freezer Fan is working. Also checked defrost Fuse in freezer.
To checked freezer fan is working or not open freezer door press Door Switch and checked Cold air is coming from duct or not.

My refrigerator stopped working because I left the door open for like three hours and the electricity does not go to all the fridge parts like the lighting system is off and the freezer is off every thing...

There is no sensor like you stated. Actually, when you keep open the fridge door, the cooling all will go out and hence thermostat sensor would not cut off, as required temp not reached inside the fridge.
So, the compressor would have run for long time without cut off. Due to this the overload protector trips the compressor. Remove power for 4 to 6 hrs. And then restart the fridge. But make sure you close the fridge door. Thanks.

The fridge and freezer smell like a dead animal. cleaned the inside with bleach but still smells for weeks. model w10212088

There are two reasons for bad smells. 1. Long time not being used. 2. Lack of cleaning inside compartment.

Solution: Unplug fridge. Keep open fridge door. Dip a dry cloth in soap water and start cleaning each and every compartment. Keep freezer door also open. And then clean with another dry cloth. Keep both doors open for nearly 5 hrs. It will be enable fresh air to **** the smell inside fridge.
After 5 hrs close the fridge and run on empty for one hour. Keep food items after one hour. Please keep all food items closed vessel. Not only it's avoid odor but also be hygienic.
If you use to keep fish items in freezer, clean fridge once in a week.(Spray roo spray in the room when you keep fridge door opened. Don't spray into fridge.)Helpful.

The fridge andf freezer is not cold at all

This refrigerator has an adaptive defrost control which has been an issue. You can tell if frost is building up on the back wall of the freezer hence a deferost problem. For an immediate fix, unplug for 4 to 6 hrs with freezer door open, plug in it will work for about 10 days till you can buy this part. It is located in the top back upper fridge side two phillip head screws and 4- 1/4" hex head screws, unplug when installing. It may have to be defrosted again if doors are opened too often.

Freezer is working but refrigerater side is not

This could be due to few things, so let's start with the easy ones;

Check fridge temp. control.

Check fan in freezer (should come on if door is kept open a couple of minutes.) if fan does't come on,
or if weak (should come on strong), unplugg the unit and take back cover off, (should be 4 screws), test fan applying 110v AC to it, if defective, replace. If fan OK, check for iced up evaporator, if so, defrost using a heat gun or hair dryer, make sure air duct to fridge is clear of ice..

Adjust temp. settings according to manufacturer suggestion (wait 24 hrs. before adjustments)

Don"t forget to rate this post. Good Luck

Kenmore Ice Maker Not Making Ice

the water that is frozen in the fill tube could have come from the old water valve that you replaced ,you got to get the ice out, the easiest way ,though not the fastest ,is to unplug fridge for 24 hrs . and leave the doors open to let it defrost, the plug back up and hopefully in 5 or 6 hrs you'll have ice

Try removing everything out of your fridge, switch it off and open all doors for 12 hrs. Then close doors and switch it on for another 24 hrs before putting in you stuff. most likely the evaporator is iced up, you need to defrost if fully.
